Some? Who does that in FA? Lucky to get one blue chip.

I expect the same strategy as we did last year. 3 year deals for guys around 25 to 28 years old and have the cap number be lower in 2026 and back load the contracts for 2027 and 2028 when our cap space is 100 million in 2027 and 360 million in 2028. With the years of terrible drafting this team had under Rhule and Fitterer and the lack of picks from all the panic QB trades has made it where we have few long-term contract commitments on the roster. 

I'm sure there's probably some restructures and cuts we can make to give ourselves some more room this year if we need it but overall, our cap situation is in a good spot under Dan and Brandt. 

I think we'll be pretty big spenders again this year. With us making the playoffs and being in a weak division I see Morgan being pretty aggressive this offseason.

I like the approach Morgan takes in free agency where we fill holes with at least serviceable players and use the draft for BPA. So, I expect us to bring in a Safety, 1 really good LB and 1 kinda so so vet LB in case they lose faith in Wallace, an edge rusher, and with ickey's injury I think we will be the team that overpays for a LT like Rasheed Walker with the plan to move him to RT depending on Ickey's health and how long Moton wants to play.

i read a lengthy article yesterday that basically explains it's very, very easy for us to have $75m in cap space without even counting a potential increase in the cap.  We are going to be able to add a lot of pieces this offseason, including multiple stars.  This forum is the most doom-and-gloom place on earth when it comes to the cap.  For some reason everyone on here is always under the assumption we can't rub two nickels together but it's simply not the case and rarely is.  We WILL lock up some big names this offseason.  Bank on it.

Even if we have a lot of cap space, we still need to find players who want to come here.  Making the playoffs may help that but other teams that also made the playoffs who have more cap space are Chargers, Seahawks, Rams, Steelers, Patriots, 49ers, Colts, and Broncos.  Over The Cap

Theres an additional $25m in rollover cap that we will have, so we actually have $50m currently.  See link below

I hope we don't get too aggressive and start the Matt Rhule "ALMOST THERE" BS. This is a very bad NFL roster with at least three good offseasons before it's a good roster. 

I really don't want to see more Wharton's or Robert Hunt's. Less of that, please.

Robert Hunt is a top 10 RG when he's healthy.

It depends. The cap money is there if they want to go all in this year. We can restructure our most expensive players and also extend some of our upcoming free agents to clear a lot of room (if they want to). I imagine they will do this with a few guys, but not everyone, as it will put us in a bind beyond 2026.

 I should look that up. How much the top Gs make now, who they are… 
But good lord my reaction is for 100 million he better be. I would expect top 5 for that contract. His deal is two years in so not really cutting edge for the upcoming FA.

I am not dogging him, he is a good player and an asset but also I have seen him losing matchups, getting pushed around. In my cheapskate mind no 100 million dollar guard should be having that happen. 
 

I guess honestly I feel like we could do better for that money. At the same time 100 mil for any right guard is shocking to me, it is walk on water territory.

If I was a cap guru I'd be working in an NFL front office but what years of following the NFL has taught me is that where there's a will there's a way in regards to the cap.
