My ideal scenario is Quay Walker (LB) from Green Bay and Jaelan Phillips (rush end) from Eagles. I think Dan will be hyper aggressive and fill these two roles on day 1.

That is his M.O. for the first two years. Has players identified and makes his pitch when things kick off.
Wish we could have scored Williams last year but understand why we didn’t.  He sets his sights high though.

Love Phillips and agree he could be our big fish FA (I’m also onboard with Lloyd).

Quay was on my radar but once I read how poor he was in coverage and a liability, I kind of soured on him here. Watching Rozeboom and all these jags/practice squad LBs get torched in coveragethe past two years, I’m leaning more towards Lloyd or Dean to co-captain this D along with Brown.

Interesting, I thought Walker was good in coverage, thank you for sharing

Quay is a very good LB and great at getting after QBs and vs. the run. If we didn't run such soft zone coverage and put our LBs in position to cover so often, Walker would be great. Truthfully, if Wallace or Quay's LB partner was a great coverage LBer, Walker would be great here.

He stepped up recently in GB and is still young enough to be around for awhile.

He said pass rush is the number 1 need and considering that is one of the main reasons they lost the playoff game I would agree. Rams didn’t let Derrick Brown beat them on the final drive a second time and the panthers have no one else who can get to the QB consistently

I fear Tyler is about to get PAID.

Extend Mays, draft a C/G to groom.

If we set the record for C AAV, he would immediately be the fourth highest paid player on our OL.

Hence why I keep stumping(pointlessly, the Ravens will likely re-sign him) for spending on an elite center. They are the cheapest position on the OL and one of the hardest to find an elite player at.

I agree with you in concept, but I think we've already made our bed by giving both guards big money. We have almost $80M tied up in G/Ts next year AND 1 OF THEM ISN'T PLAYING! We still need a starting LT for 2026. Another $18M+ is a hard pill to swallow, however you cook the books.

Hunt - $24.3M

Lewis - $16.7M

Moton - $21.1M

Ickey - $17.6M

But it's all theoretic, because the Ravens won't let him walk, and if they do, he likely follows Harbaugh to the Giants per reports.

I am not worried about the contracts because any/all can be jettisoned in 2027 with minimal ramifications.

I would like to land him because you rarely ever see an elite, 25 year old center hit free agency, this is a very weak center class and Mays is a bottom quarter starting center(love him as a utility IOL).

Ideally this offseason we solve center and draft a high caliber RT/LT to fill the gap for Ikey.

Then next offseason, pending outcome of the rookie and Ikey's recovery you can jettison Hunt(VASTLY overpaid), make a determination on Ikey's ability to play(perhaps extend him on the franchise tag as a "prove it"), and let the Ikey/rookien situation dictate Moton. He can be extended on a LOWER cost deal or jettisoned if Ikey and the rookie can take the reigns.

Either way, both OT's will need to be resolved, we need an actually starting caliber NFL center again and we need to get rid of one of these OG's. Hunt is the obvious choice as Lewis is substantially better across the board and cheaper.
