You have to look at what happened with him. I think it was three seasons at least where he was forced to deal with a new system and OC. As a young inexperienced player. How are you supposed to thrive going through that poo? 
 

In the long run it helped him, because he had been exposed to so much different stuff. And has some more experience.  He can go to a new place and adapt quicker because of that experience. 

But when you first go through all of that it turns your head around. If he didn’t have the talent he has, he would not have succeeded. 
 

If you couldn’t see the talent he has, well you are failing,  that was us.
