Glad fans can shut up about bryce being the best qb performer in the playoffs.

I mean, take a look at those QB stat lines. Both of them near as even as you can get.
.2 difference in rating. No picks. Over 700 yards between them, 3 TDs apiece.
That is what a big boy QB can do for you.

If the Rams had better defense they might have pulled it out.

This is a totally different Darnold that underwent an metamorphosis after being under 2 offensive genius head coaches, and being on 3 teams stacked with offensive talent. We did NOT have that.

This is like almost like a Jets fan saying they should have kept Darnold. It's pure hindsight and not factoring in what it took for Darnold to get to the level he is now

We didn't have that but it's possible we could have.

That said I think part of what allowed this was being cast off repeatedly.

He has a high level of ability. Without that, all the grit and determination in the world would not have him where he is.

PS When you pick a QB, and you settle for lesser talent, you normally get less.

This looks like a bizzare Super Bowl matchup. Guess it's better than seeing Mahomes every single year.

But it would've been so refreshing to see a Bills vs Bears or something like that. Or Bills vs Lions if they made the Super Bowl.

May be an image of football and text that says 'ESPN SEAHAWKS SEAHAWKS LavTS 2ST STADIUM 자세'

Tepper would not have had the patience to hold onto him long enough imo. When Darnold took that year off in San Fran he got a chance to totally reset himself mentally and learn a poo ton from Kyle Shannahan.  Would any of this happened without that crucial year off?

That offense can score easily in under 2 minutes. We gave them the ball back with too much time on the clock.

We should have intercepted them and taken control of the game but Nick Scott did Nick Scott things and Evero went into a defense that guaranteed a win for them. They are still lucky as hell and overrated IMO. Glad they lost and Stafford is still a bitch.

Kupp didn't need to survive the ground, that only applies if a player hasn't completed the catch yet, he had.

But yes it was lol

Yes Cotchery caught it. The point is that they haven’t been calling it that way all season. He’s headed to the ground. All they’ve cared about is surviving the ground. How many steps taken hasn’t been considered.

Stafford is not a bitch, he was making God-Tier throws that entire game. Xavier Smith's muffed punt that lead to a Seattle TD was the difference in the game. Seattle won by 4 points and that muffed punt was either a 7 point swing or potentially a 14 point swing if the Rams would have gotten a TD on that drive he muffed the punt on.

That also ended being the only turnover in the entire game as well.

That and the Rams defense could not stop Kenneth Walker or JSN to save their lives lol. It's not rocket science, that's literally two dudes.

Nope. The ones who truly fuged up was the Vikings. They let go of the Sam who had gone through a football exorcism already. Sam needed out of here to get where he is now. You keep him in Minnesota and there's a real chance his team wins the NFC still.

I think the Vikings were just too heavily invested into recently drafting JJ McCarthy. They just convinced themselves to go with the younger QB which would have made the most financial sense, and what appeared to be practical sense considering O'Connel made Cousins and Sam Darnold both look good. The assumption is he could do the same with JJ.

Also Sam absolutely shitted his pants in the last 2 games of the year. That probably scared them.

I have to agree. Tepper looks pretty bad, but Minnesota and that staff/FO look like fools.

As far as taking a year off with Shanahan, I’m not convinced the down alone time helped him.

Picture him with hands on Shanahan coaching and that team around him and the reps he would have had, if he played. I think maybe it works out for him that way as well.

I'm not going to write off the Patriots because that's exactly what happened a long time ago with Brady's first SB appearance. Not saying Maye is Brady, but if the Pats D turns Darnold into a pumpkin and they very well can, Seahawks will be in real trouble.

    • I begrudgingly accept the 5th year option only because the 5th year is not guaranteed.  We can get out after next year if he doesn’t throw down.  History says he will not demonstrate his worthiness most of the year and then near the end he will somehow do just enough to keep the flame burning.  I feel like we are really and truly stuck.
    • I think Darnold and Baker are great examples that's it's more than just the player. The Panthers organization during their tenures here was absolute trash. Both of these guys took 4-5 years to develop, bounce to multiple teams, and finally be placed in a great scenario for them to succeed. Structure and organization is more important than the player some times. Look what Patriots did this year, their roster was devoid of talent last year but you find the right coaching organization, add a few players in free agency and they are in the Super Bowl. These examples make me feel like we need to give Bryce more time to prove himself. If we let Bryce walk and he succeeds else where like Darnold and Baker, then it's the organization's fault and we can have Mahomes as our QB and it wouldn't even matter.
