Damn that's cold

If he wasn't so entitled I would be more interested but his attitude seems like it needs work. I bet Mcvay gives him a looksie

I'm not sure Richardson is the kind of project McVay is eager to take on.

Yeah, not sure I see that either. McVay's offense I a lot. If you have a guy already struggling with the mental aspects of playing QB in the NFL not sure I see that as a good fit.

Honestly, the Eagles should consider him as a backup. It's hard to find a QB that can emulate how they use Hurts and Richardson might be a good fit for that. As is, if Hurts go down they'd basically have to run their offense completely differently. That's not ideal.

He could be a really good fit in our system. Depending on the cost, I would be very interested

I am not endorsing or rejecting.. just commenting. NYG GM Schoen and Morgan are like, vacation buds. Did the Burns trade already.
If we had interest it should be do-able. One year rental? Could be cheap. But it would need to be. Maybe a player could go back to them. More than that? Like trade for and extend him? I don’t know enough about him to really say about that. What LG just said sheds some light.

In a general sense, we have done well with our late rounders but the reason for that may apply less going forward. Tillis referenced this as well in his combine interview the other day.

When you have holes everywhere it is easy to fill them with a draft pick, but once you have gotten things to a certain level that changes. At that point maybe a late round pick doesn’t upgrade your team like it did n previous seasons.

Hence the low picks become less impactful for us, there is less utility. Which could play into them being more willing to use them in a trade.

In a perfect world he’d play out his contract and if he looks great you can tag or extend him. But I wouldn’t offer more than a third. And I wouldn’t extend up front

Well you are officially renting him in those circumstances. So I don’t care who he is, I wouldn’t want to give up a 3rd.

I for sure was thinking much cheaper. Got to pay him 15 mil. And then he can be a FA. I guess you could tag him. That would be costly.

The idea of a one year rental doesn’t bother me though, it could buy time and still allow us to draft an edge this year, then in ‘27 we’d have Scourton and Princely going into their third season and the newer draftee his second. They might be ready to step up.

I just would want him cheap.

I'd wait on Richardson until next year. His contract is up and I don't see Indy picking up the option.

I'd welcome him in a QB2/Taysom role.

Short yardage situations, halftime hail mary's and goalline sets. Also, if Young goes down, AR is about what I'd expect from a QB2 thrust into the lineup for a few games. Some good ones, some stinkers.

I look at the QB situations in Miami and Arizona--and do not see bryce rising above that.

If Simpson is there in the first--do you pull the trigger?

As much as I dislike Bryce, no. Too many needs elsewhere and it looks like this dumb team is going to ride Bryce for another year. I've been saying I would like to take a QB in a mid-round, but now I'm thinking maybe a 6 or 7th rounder plus a free agent is the right approach, then go big next year.

    • I used to think Juan was a Zod alt. Agree he's a great poster.
    • Hawks said nah we good and sent him to the shadow realm aka the Wizards. Cold blooded. I mean they're 2-2 in a series with a young up and coming Knicks team largely through 34 year old CJ McCollum. Even if they ultimately lose the series at least they are there and have something to build on. I think Hornets fans are just beaten down and lack the objectivity to assess the situation. They think we are going to get so much worse if and when we finally change gears. Worse how? We've already been a lottery team for years now. We've already been looking to win our first playoff series in about a quarter century. We already can't get past the play in and in failing to do so we have completely embarrassed ourselves twice looking like we don't even belong. Honestly there is absolutely no excuse for a team like the Magic to be more competitive and successful than us in the playoffs. Absolutely disgusting. But that's just me. I was fuging lit when we got the Hornets back in Charlotte but that is old old news. It's time for these boys to get into a playoff series. Enough is enough. If they can't do it for 2026-27 then they need to make wholesale changes regardless.
    • Not one single pick that is asking me why we drafted a guy in the first place. It was a guy we needed and/or a guy that had certain traits making them stand out. Best of all, I feel everyone we drafted are capable of stepping onto the field this year and have a meaningful role (even Kuwatch on special teams). Obviously, nothing is guaranteed but I'm not seeing any huge flags on guys because they're risky projects or massive overreaches.
