The Falcons have signed Tua to a 1 Year Dea

ESPN Sources: Former Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa plans to sign a one-year deal with the Atlanta Falcons. The move now will give the Falcons two left-handed quarterbacks, Tagovailoa and Michael Penix, heading into the 2026 season.

Atlanta now gets a viable option while Michael Penix Jr. recovers.

I think viable option is being generous. Another hit to the noggin and his eggs are going to be scrambled like a Denny's grand slam breakfast.

Falcons signed Tua the Bucs lost Mike Evans. This division is still open.

Man we better pursue a real backup QB. If not at least draft one with ideal size and a real NFL arm in the mid rounds. Anything is better than no real backup plan.

I thought we'd have the worst qb room in the division but that trash in Atlanta will be tough to beat

Atlanta is going to be ass this year. Stefanski was a terrible hire. Matt Ryan and his zero front office experience might be worse.

Everyone has given up on Bowles in Tampa- likely fired by midseason.

It will be us and whatever Kellen Moore is cooking up down there.

At least they brought in someone who could potentially start a game or 6 barring injury. We still have Dalton, for now. I can't fault at least trying to get better, even if it is Tua.

Didn't see it posted so sorry if this is a double up on this thread. SBMVP headed off to KC.

Walker's deal is for three years and is worth up to $45 million with $28.7 million fully guaranteed, per The Insiders.

    • Dave in a presser gassed up Anthony Tyus III and dying to see him on the field.  I mean 3 is all that needed right, and Dan loves etienne. He's one year filling in his body. If brooks is back, toss in chubba, thats 3.
    • After seeing hits in the last two UDFA pools, I do not in this group sorta of a let down after I gassed myself up.  Not like I know of their games, but just expected more. The duke DT only has to beat out hunte (2025 UDFA) or Ray (DL coach's kid) or even Cam Jackson mid 2025 5th.  I thought they would bring in more edges, IOL, TEs, etc...
    • My 2 favorite picks, since you didn't ask? 3. Brazzell II.  A 1000 yard WR with 4.37 speed and checks all the boxes for a Z Wide Receiver.  IN THE THIRD ROUND!!! 5.  Sam Hecht.  I think he will take over as the starter at some point this season and never look back.  IN THE FIFTH ROUND. Runner Up:  2. Hunter:  We were targeting a DT early in this draft because we did very little to replace Robinson in free agency.  Hunter was our guy and he will start. In addition to that, you got a starting tackle that should man one side of the new OL we will build for Bryce's second contract. A starting WR, offensive lineman, defensive lineman and possible Offensive tackle (at some point during this year from this draft will start.  UNREAL. In addition, I don't doubt that Wheatley (5th round) takes the FS job by next year and Lee III is Jackson's replacement in 2027.   Finally, even Kuwatch should be a special teams demon and LB depth.   Last year's draft was so good it was ugly.  This one will turn out to be uglier.  No offense Basbear--this ain't about you.
