I think former players are justified in using the term we when referring to former teams, especially when they spent their whole career with them

Devil's advocate:  I played for Winterfield in Pop Warner.  I do not call them we.

Seriously:  I had the same thought,

His play calling and time management at times has been suspect but the organization has been extremely stable under his stewardship. Not sure how you can disagree with Kuechly on that point.

Stability in terms of culture and whatnot sure we are night and day from the Rhule foolishness. In terms of playcalling and in game management and needing to somehow reflect on the fact he should have kept the hot hand going when Rico Dowdle was playing as well as he was ehhhhhhh. He's also led us to the 30th and 26th passing offenses the last two years. And he needed other teams to do the lifting for us just to win a pitiful iteration of the NFCS. Dave Canales has as much to prove in his third year as just about anyone else in the league.

That is true, but I cannot overlook what he has been given at QB.

A question that is likely to never be answered: what plays would he call if he had a QB that isn’t so limited?

Dave Canales has been HC for his current team longer than half of the league.  So, when you look at it that way, it is stable situation.

Yeah I think he's just talking continuity it's not really an endorsement.

Also I would think CarolinaHuddle of all places would understand using "we" for the team you follow. I can't STAND when dorks do the "Oh so you play for them then? Hurr hurr"

    • Kon is a damn stud but it’s not any individual player’s team. All of the “big 3” are incredibly and equally important IMO. And LaMelo makes Kon way better (look at his shooting splits with LaMelo on the floor vs without. Also Moose and even Miles are important cogs. Honestly think we’re 1 piece away from being legit top contenders if the young guys continue to develop the next year or two. I trust this FO to be patient to find that piece within the next 2-3 years and not force anything. Plenty of time and even without adding anyone we have the pieces in place overall already to compete with any team.
    • We lost 2 very close and winnable games against top teams in the league while missing 3 critical players despite 2 of our top 3 players shooting unusually terribly. Still split the 4 games that Moose and Miles were suspended, winning the most important one vs the Hawks. This ain’t yo mama’s Hornets man. Hopefully Coby can go soon but even if not Moose and Miles are huge additions for our starting lineup and bench rotations. Schedule is pretty tough after these next 4 but I think we’ll take care of business the next 4 to get to .500 then finish slightly above .500 after that to get a 7 or 8 seed. Keep it rolling boys. Also Kon is having an insanely historic rookie season as a shooter. Like truly can’t believe my eyes watching this kid level of historic. Man what a fuging home run of a draft pick and exactly what this team needed to take that next step forward. He’s gonna shatter the rookie 3 point and franchise 3 point records. Has a real chance to be the 2nd best 3 point shooter ever or dare I say even get to Curry’s level (as a pure shooter, Curry obviously has way more to his game that has made him a GOAT).
