and pay him with what, warm wishes?  Carolina has to figure out how to pay Phillips as they currently dont have the cap for his contract.  Sure Robinson is gone but that wont be enough.  Some restructures/trades need to happen soon or carolina may be looking for volunteers from the fans to fill out the roster.

I mean, seems obvious they would have a plan for this spree. I figured we’d see some cuts.  Probably will tonight and tomorrow.

The salary cap is not real. Other teams like the Saints for example have manipulated numbers for years, and it's always worked out for them just fine.

Being upset by us attacking a major weak spot in free agency is wild! This fan base is so strange at times.

They’ve lost players the past few years because of salary cap

they’re eating 18 mill in dead money this year for Cam Jordan and Demario Davis

I believe they’ll still have 8 mill or so in dead money in 2027 for Cam Jordan

They now have a QB on a rookie deal. Both RT and LT on rookie deals. As much as everyone hates on the Saints they’ve drafted themselves out of this massive hole they dug themselves in

I like Chenal too, I was hoping they would pick him up in the draft. Tepper better back up the Brink's truck this offseason.

I'm keeping an eye on the ILB deals out there to guage about what it would take to sign him.

    • Btw... only Mitch fugging Marner has a better +/- than Key 🔑!!! And, Mitchy needed 5 more games and almost 100 more shifts to get there.
    • I was honestly flabbergasted to see Rod send out Stanky and the boys to to matchup against their top line to start the game. The reason that line has been so effective is because they've been matched mostly against 2nd and 3rd lines all year. You've got last change. Use it to your advantage.
    • Nobody played well on defense last night. But, the vitriol towards Chatfield (and to a lesser extent, K'andre) is bigly misplaced. People (not just you) just refuse to accept how bad Slavin has been this season. And, I get it. Canes fans (and informed analysts) have spent nearly a decade trying to explain to casuals just how good Jaccccob is at hockey. 4Nations happened and the hockey watching public started to listen. National media even started floating the idea of creating a new award in his honor. Then this season, he gets hurt. It happens. NBD. But, when he finally came back, it wasn't the same. He'll get back to his old self in no time. Probably just some rust, it'll be fine. Only, it wasnt rust, and he's not fine. He's bad right now. It wasnt just last night. Although, that was absolutely the worst game of his NHL career. Slavin (-4) currently has the 3rd worst +/- of anyone left in the playoffs. We've  been begging the world to recognize Jaccob Slavin's greatness. And, by the time we finally got people to listen, he shits the bed! I blame Kash!
