Give Tepper Credit

We are so eager to give Tepper credit for doing the absolute bare minimum, essentially thanking him just for staying out of the way and not acting as a dead weight on the franchise.

Yet, despite all the criticism, he was never the worst owner in the league by a long shot. That perception mostly lived in the minds of Panthers fans who simply hadn't experienced truly bad ownership before.

Why?  You think there's a better path than building a core and then adding a real QB rather than the opposite?

Sure. Sign or draft a backup QB in  the mid to late rounds with actual NFL caliber physical tools that might be able to push Bryce. We've signed another QB who doesn't have an NFL arm and the mid to late round rookie we've been tied to is another guy whose main concern is NFL arm strength.

There’s a lot of later round QBs that had disappointing 2025 seasons (this draft and maybe next). I really hope we are looking at those guys. Could be cheap backups and if you grab the right one, maybe a future starter. I’m worried, like you, that we’ll extend Young. I’m sorry, but outside of the Rams games, he’s still not the guy and the Rams went all out in FA to find multiple CBs as that was their weak link.

I'm concerned that the primary one we've been tied to is another noodle arm. It really feels like we're trying to avoid bringing in someone who can make throws that Bryce can't and that is just absolutely bizarre.

Based on the continued approach to the most consequential position on the football field thanks to his push for us to trade up to the first pick one should logically conclude that his presence is still felt within the day to day operations. The guy isn't a monster but he also isn't in need of anyone lining up to shine his shoes or kiss his ass but lo and behold there is always someone that wants to paint him out to be a victim. I assure you the billionaire is doing just fine regardless of what anyone says about him on the internet. Carry on.

Again its the tepper effect, you could legitmately argue Picket is the worst and and least physically gifted FA qb in this cycle and we signed him

Papa Tepp has grown a ton as an owner over the last couple of years… gotta give credit where credit is due.

I truly believe we’re in better hands than most Panthers fans thought when he took over. He’s turned the corner towards being a competent owner and not Jerry Jones/Dan Snyder 2.0… love to see it!
