I see TE sneaking into the fray, but we have drafted 3 TEs since 2021.  I think you let them develop (Sanders, Evans flashed at times), but I do not see an upgrade unless we draft TE by day 2.  We need too many other positions.

No, I don't believe the BPA rule is pure or always followed.  IF the draft was before free agency, then maybe.

If it’s not Sadiq at 19 ( I hope it’s not him) I think we see what shakes out in FA. We’ve drafted two guys in the last two drafts on day 3, so I don’t see any upside going back to that well….especially in this draft.

I could see if Njoku’s number comes down or someone else as a vet and true upgrade on a 1-yr deal. Re-visit next offseason and see if Sanders or Evans becomes what we want them to be between now and then.

At some point, if we want to upgrade TE, we have to invest in a trade, an early draft pick or FA. These 4th rounders and beyond are what they are.

where do you put NT?

I've having troubles with my list, its too fluid and the value is crushing me too.

like, edge is back to the top even with Phillips..... or dare say a case of mine can be made...

I still feel panthers have WR on the bullseye...

A legit NT and a true FS are the elephants in the room that a lot of people aren't talking about but they're huge needs.

I'd list the following in terms of needing an upgrade at the starter position

1- LB 2

2- NB

3- TE

4- NT

5- FS

6- WR 3

Now if you talk about rookie depth we need

OT

C

outside CB

Edge

So if the draft goes something like

round 1 - OT

round 2- LB

Round 3- CB/FS/NB

round 4- C

I'd be pretty happy

Spot-on. D-line and FS are much bigger immediate needs than OT or WR. Look at the current roster and the fact that they have not brought in any new players at those positions.

    • I mean....no lies detected. See above. We have traded a fortune to draft a guy #1 overall that people have lowered standards for to the point that not playing like Jimmy Clausen and looking like a poor man's Kyle Allen occasionally is worthy of a contract extension making him one of the highest paid QB's in the league. That is cope on steroids.
    • summary: "let's talk about your draft, what did you think about Freeling" Dan:   guys with a huge upside, can come in and compete to start.  High ceiling "he does what for your offense?" Dan:   it's hard to find left tackles, guys that big and athletic.  We have Icky coming off an injury, we signed Walker, I believe your offensive line can never be too strong.  If we're going to win the game, it's gotta be up front on both sides of the ball, so we make a point of emphasis on making both sides of the front as strong as possible. "how many mocks did you see Monro falling to you." Not many times, left tackles are gonna go a lot earlier than when we took him.  We want to add the best player, in free agency or the draft"  that's our philosophy, to get the best players possible. "Hunter and Brazzell." Dan:  we followed the board.  Lee we felt very highly of him , super strong.  Brazzel so flexible and loose, can open the verticle.  Will Lee we held in high regard. "you take a look at your receiver room, Coker, my goodness, your offensive rookie of the year in Tet.  Lost Rico, but there is Jonathan Brooks. " Brooks coming off two knee injuries, he worked his way back, looking great, fully healthy, will help in pass and run game.  Icky, not sure when he's coming back but we're excited about both "plan on extending Bryce" we'll keep talking, will keep internally.  We believe in him, has such a great grasp of Canales and offense, has improved every year. "he's clearly come back from the benching, the arrow is trending up, where does he feel" Bryce knows where we stand with him, when and if a deal gets done, he knows we feel great with him, we'll get something done at the right time. "if this a prove it situation?" everyone in the building has to prove it, has to earn it. Tmac was everything we wanted, his work ethic, he's so big and talented, but he puts the work in, and is a great teammate. "your level of expectation, the building's level of expectation for 2026 "our goal is to win the division every year, we know we have to earn it.  we have to put the work in every day, proving it on the practice field, and our  guys know that." "schedule" we haven't opened at home in 2 or 3 years.  We love prime time games, hope we get some "
    • this one is gold:     Bryce has a cult inside the Panthers fanbase that has truly developed some NPC hivemind. I'll never understand how he's captured the true essence of the casual fan like that.
