Panthers Top 30 Visits and Draft Tracker

I know he wasn’t a 30 visit, but we did have a virtual meet with De’Zhaun Stribling. I like what DJ & Sikkema have said about him being a slot or Z WR that can take the top off a D.

They brought up how once Ole Miss got right with Chambliss, that he really stepped up. I don’t know as much about him as the other WRs but could be a value on day 2 giving Bryce that speedster without sacrificing pick 19.

I would not mind it, but I just don't see it.

I see TE Delp here in round 4.  I might go with Cooper (WR) in round 1.  Travis Burke (was he a local visit?  Played at Gardner-Webb for a while--I see him as a 6th or 7th).  It sure looks like Safety could be the round 2 pick --I was hoping to grab a LB there--QB?  We are going to bring in a UDFA.

Of course, this is probably totally wrong.

I think they go defense in rounds 1 and 2. Then offense in rounds 3 and 4. Positions are yet to be determined.

I wanted DT and LB then maybe a C.

I also think someone will fall to 19 and make it difficult to stick to WR.   An OT, perchance?

Recent interest (seemingly) in WR suggests that they are giving up on XL.  If so, I see WR as a big need since they want to surround their MiniQB with $200m worth of talent.

I see Morgan rebuilding the OL in 2027 because he will have to make cap room for the $50m qb.  Moton, Hunt, and maybe Lewis?

It may not be exact science and this FO is relatively new, but it is very much likely the first couple picks will be of players we met.

Well somebody has to look like a 19 pick or there won’t be any trade propositions. I hope one of these overhyped guys falls and we can trade out to pick later in the first.

I was thinking the same. I think they are targeting guys that are going to be in the latter part of round one and early in round two. I think they would like to maneuver and walk away with 2-3 of these guys

I have wanted to do that since I first looked at the draft order and the crop of players.
A lot of it is, just not that impressed with the selection we are likely to have at 19. And then when I learned how good some of these ILBs are I never bought that we could sit at 51 and get one. So trading back helps us have a chance to move up for one of those guys.

To me it is a win win. Get better value with your 1st, and assure you can get your dawg in the 2nd? Yes, all day long.

I said it in another thread, but I think they would ideally like to move down to the mid twenties, get another 3rd, then take either another player in the 1st by moving up or take 2 players in the 2nd after packaging picks.

    • I think i like the Oregon Safety better
    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
    • OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
