Draft intel from ESPN’s Jordan Reid

Unfortunately I believe it. At this point they should just do it.

Then when paired with the highest paid offensive line in the league for the second year in a row Bryce is still unable to lead us to a top 25 passing offense maybe then more people in the sports talk sphere will start to ask questions.

If it happens it will be surprising that Morgan continues to neglect the defensive side of the ball.  If it happens its seems like they are desperately trying to convince themselves that Bryce was the correct pick therefor justifying extending.  At least thats where my conspiracy brain immediately goes to whenever I read stuff like this.   I mean for fugs sake how many teams have 3 legit bad ass wr's?   Its most certainly under 5 and thats even stretching it

He isn't neglecting the defense. How much money have we spent on free agents during his tenure? We've drafted a few days two people as well (not to mention day 3) since he's taken the helm. To say he's neglected the defense makes little sense.

If they draft offense again in the first that would be 5 years of doing so.  That is the textbook definition of neglecting the defense.

Yall wanted a offensive minded head coach then surprised when we pick offensive in the 1st.  GMs job is to select players for the coach, not to select who they think is best HC be damned.

You think Canales is an offensive minded head coach?  For realz?

You do realize how ridiculous this sounds right? Historically winning free agency for the most part hasn't translated to Super Bowls for the overwhelming majority of teams. Building through the draft is the path.

Idk, I feel like Delp is in line with more of the JT Sanders types….good, but not really moving the needle.

If we add a TE, I’d prefer we bring in a vet like Njoku and let the two youngsters continue to battle it out.

Yea there's a couple spots were "depth" is just a waste. 3 decent TEs with some hope, using a 4-7 rounder would have a tough time beating out Frank or "the mayor" for a job. There's room for a starter, not more of the same player.

That's my take, besides I like either frank or the mayor for the 4th role. Just need one of those "develop" type UDFA on the PS..

How isn’t he? For realz? You can’t call him defensive minded. Total roots in offense. And he was pretty much completely hands off the defense at least year one.

He isn’t being accused of being an innovator, or anything close. He is a copycat I think.

Its been now 3 years of him being an OC and all 3 years his offenses have stunk ass and you can argue they are getting worse

minus the 2024 draft....which could still get away better

Dan has done about as good as a rookie GM could. He didn't have 1st overall pick or a future 2nd cause of the BY trade, that's a killer in building a team devoid of talent. He got the future 2nd back in a trade. Most of his FA big tickets have help, I know lloyd will without seeing him. He stole Michael Jackson and got draft picks for 79 year old Adam and Dalton. He's "fixed" the OL and DL with some depth, no other former GM had done that.

Id say the team has gained talent form the time he took over, I know its a low line and all. Still that's the whole goal, add talent that helps make a winner. 2-5-8. Give him another full draft and full season and see how it goes. I feel like the team with solid QB play could give about any non-top 5 team all they want. Panthers did that twice with the rams and the MVP. That's was with guru Mccvay and them knowing evero....

Both things can be, and are true. He may be no offensive genius but he is an offensive minded coach.
