Their power play was pretty damn good against TB. Look, the Habs only had 5 SOG thru 2 periods, so it's not like TB rolled over and played dead. But TB has one of best PKs in the league... mostly because they've gotten a lot of practice being the most penalized team in the league.

Well, buffalo and Boston are gonna beat each other up. Tampa Montreal will beat each other up and then some combination of those teams will further beat each other up. So hopefully if we see them in the EC finals, they’ll be worn down. The Atlantic is brutal.

The Canes aren't immune to getting beat up, either, and they are far from being a physical hockey team. There's no way they keep up a pace of laying 57 hits on Ottawa or any other team. Hopefully, the majority of the physicality is out of the way and we can play some hockey now.

But, we can never assume Tkachuck isn't going to drop the gloves again. Matter of fact, I'd expect it at least 2-3 more times.

Canes 57 hits was a move to destroy the Sabres mindset that the Canes were overmatched physically, and it worked.

I expect some solid Canes hockey tonight and a win. Throw in a fight with Cousins as a bonus. Tkachuk gave some respect to the canes so I may not call him a name tonight. not saying I won’t for sure lol.

The Flyers are going to be a tough out for the Canes. They look like they are ending the Penguins once and for all.
