I dont even know what that means?  How would you quantify "does well"?   Because it seems to me he needs just about everything around him to be near perfect just for him to be a top 20ish qb.

If he miraculously turns into a top 10 qb stat wise (which he needs to be imo to earn a new deal) then I would look to adding a stud pass rusher like simmons or stewart in the first

I get what you are saying but this team is built around the run game.  He's not going to lead the league in any passing category.  I think if he protects the ball and doesn't put us behind in games like he did against Jacksonville and Arizona we'll be alright.

I'm not a huge fan of his but I give him a bit more credit than you do.  He's shown he can win close games, and winning is the goal whether by one point or 14 points.

It’s really about Bryce vs all of the nfc south QBs.

do you feel like Bryce is the best qb in the division ? Is play calling going to improve ? This offense seems like it has peak unless one of the two improve in consistency.

defense should improve with the additions from free agency alone. I wanted to supercharge the defense with a heavy defense based draft but we went the balanced route which isn’t bad either.

1.Baker

2. Slough

3/4 - make the argument for either bryce or tua.  Its a close call

and yes I yearn for the days of a sick dominating defense again

Is the team really built around the run game?  Because the last half of the season we were one of the worst (if not worst) teams in the league running the ball.  And the results kindof showed

all of those dudes have immense potential if they keep elevating their game.

I really like watching Carr and hope he continues to improve, kid looks really special in doses last year

The list is impressive plus there is always someone who comes out of no where. Sorsby playing on that loaded Texas Tech team should look good too.

yep, between the pass rushers, tackles and qbs the 2027 draft as it stands today looks to be generational.  McShay has been talking about this for 2 years now and says teams like the jets etc have been gearing up their rosters in anticipation.   College football in the fall is going to be so much fun

One deep deep sleeper to watch is CJ Bailey as well.  Word is he has bulked up so he should be fun to watch as well.  Maybe not 1rst round but def top 50ish

Bryce Young.

It really is as simple as that, if he can't improve, we will be worse next year even given the upgrades elsewhere.  Frankly we got lucky in a number of our wins last year, if the Bryce plays the same as he did and we don't get those breaks, we're a 5-6 win team.

6 of our 8 wins were by just 3 points, another by 7 (agains the Jets), and then the Falcons blowout.

It's very easy to see how this team goes backwards just on that alone, regression to the mean is a real thing when you have that many close games in one season.

Absolutely, w/o Rico we never sniff the playoffs

You're correct but the lack of a run game isn't completely on Young.  Granted he needs to complete passes to open up the run game but if our O-Line isn't operating like they should than he's to fault?

in the last 6 games of the season, after the 450 outburst at atl, he averaged 175 yards a game.  Its not 100% on Bryce but its pretty damn clear that teams didnt respect him at all

fuging Christ I must have drank this from my memory but he only had 4 games over 200?  One being 206.    And we were 2-2 in those games.

Ya'll we just had our most successful season in about ten years and we got swept by the Saints. And we had to have help from the Falcons to win the division. And if not for Rico Dowdle's short lived historic production none of that would have happened.

Yeah we're still going to have to earn respect going forward. Should go without saying.

Name me a team that can run on anyone with little to no help from the QB/passing game.

People do not fear being beat deep. And deep these days is only 20 yards. Every defense cheated up towards the line. Every secondary.

The Rams, even after being burned because they didn’t respect and protect against that, didn’t protect it again. Like it was a fluke. It sort of was.

If we can’t scare anyone passing we will struggle mightily to run the ball against decent defenses. The flukes need to become the day to day outcomes. Not a couple of times a year.

This somewhat wrong too. Hoover moved to Indiana and he was replaced by a Harvard transfer named Jaden Craig. If Craig played up to the improved competition, he will be another top prospect. He was getting Day 2 hype prior to deciding to transfer to FBS.

If half these players play how they are expected to, it still will be one of the most loaded QB classes in a long while. Literally the perfect year to need a QB.
