Greg McElroy's Incredible Wonderlic Score

Understood, my point what that a high Wonderlic score doesn't mean jack when it comes to playing QB in the NFL.

It probably does if you also have the physical skills to go with your Incredible Wonderlic Skills. Obviously, you don't draft any player just because he's smart, but I would avoid most dumb guys, especially at QB, i.e., Ryan Leaf.

Honestly, I believe Alex Smith would have done pretty solid in the NFL if Singletary didn't ruin him.

Meh, he had Mike McCarthy and Norv Turner as coordinators and didn't throw more touchdowns than picks either year. The only year he did throw more tds than picks was when Singletary changed the whole offense to a spread hybrid to make him more comfortable.

Once again, in the nfl nerds get bashed.

That said, scoring too high can be as much of a problem as scoring too low. Football coaches want to command the locker room. Being smarter than the individual players makes that easier. Having a guy in the locker room who may be smarter than every member of the coaching staff can be viewed as a problem — or at a minimum as a threat to the egos of the men who hope to be able when necessary to outsmart the players, especially when trying in some way to manipulate them.

So while McElroy, who was unable to work out due to injury, may be really smart, he perhaps would have been wise to tank a few of the answers.

So basically if you're a smart guy you shouldn't play football. It's for stupid people.

I've always liked McElroy. He comes from a run first offense, has experience with his hands under center. Can make all the throws, a leader, energetic, and apparently he's very intelligent. I wouldn't take him at #1 of course, but whoever is in position to get him will probably come away with a steal. But that's just my opinion.

I have also loved McElroy. I have never understood why people haven't talked much about him being a succesful NFL qb I mean he is a proven winner and has played well in the toughest league in college football. I know his stats aren't mind boggling but Alabama is more of a run first team so he numbers aren't high but he has an above average completion percent and doesnt throw too many picks. I think this kid could end up being the Tom Brady of this years draft.

I think he reminds me of Marc Bulger, not a good arm but very accurate and smart.

Is it just me, or does anyone else feel that GritsRgreat could choose hotter women to take up his avatar space? I mean the current ones are better than the 13 year olds you had, but my goodness, get some pictures that actually show some hot ass.

I was thinking the very same thing before i saw your post. The poses in the pictures aren't fun to look at. :(
