Is Chris Brazzell just another DJ Chark?

Bryce and AT were made for each other.

Chark was terrible for Detroit the following year. Is Mingo still on the roster at Dallas? You can add Hurst on that list of weapons that played even worse after leaving here.

Hurst was kind of on his way out with injury stuff when he came I think.
He was a name people knew and they were thinking completely differently than today - remember, people said it was a playoff team.

Oh yeah. Honestly the OL regression was the most surprising to me. That interior was awful and injured if I remember correctly.

Deontae Johnson hasn’t stuck around either since being traded away…

We are talking 2022 with Anderson but the other guys weren’t they 2023?  Trying to keep up.
Bozeman was loved here in 2022 fwiw according to my memory.

In 2023 he was hated.  I don’t know the reason for the 180 did people see no flaws I  2022?  Hmmm
Okay even if it was simplistic the offense worked so much better than the following year  Read into that whatever, but in 2023 I don’t know what the fug they were thinking with ‘our new point guard is going to elevate all these average receivers and we are gonna go straight to the playoffs!
I believe they really thought that.

Wasn’t Dontae Johnson 2024? Seen no more of him.  He was on track for a pretty good payday and all he had to do was speak diplomatically and do his job.
Nope, too hard for him.

I think Reich changed the blocking scheme and some of our guys really struggled. Plus they looked good at the end of 22 because Wilks just ran the ball over and over.
Yeah he was 24 but just another offensive weapon that disappeared after he left here. His is all mental though.

Mental is why he disappeared he had plenty of talent.

And it is not strange that they would change the scheme but strange we kept the 22 OL coach for 2023

I believe DJ Chark actually was doing well and on pace to have a good career before he got injured. He didn’t do anything his rookie season then had a 1000 yard  sophomore season followed by a 700 yard season where he missed a few games, he probably would have caught another thousand yards had he not missed a few games. Then in season 4 he got hurt and only played 4 games. He still was okay after that injury, having 2 500 yard seasons back to back before disappearing. So who knows what Chark would have done if he didn’t get hurt.

    • Of course it's a crapshoot to find a truly elite QB. But we don't even need that to be competitive or successful. Our two best long term starters in 3 decades of existence were both flawed yet productive passers and each led us to a Super Bowl. Hell Jake Delhomme in the year where his arm went off a cliff and we had to start Matt Moore for a couple spells we had a superior passing offense than anything we've seen under Bryce Young the last 3 years. We're still trying to crack the top 25. All I'm saying is this is not the 2023 Panthers by any means. The cupboards are not bare. We are not working with scraps. We have invested through the nose to build up the roster and the trenches on both sides of the ball. We've also added multiple first and second day pass catchers in the draft. If a QB can't succeed here they are cooked.
    • That last line is the key. Passing game lives or dies off the running game. I struggle to see any help the passing has provided in return - there is no pass to op n up the run to speak of.  Add in that we have downgraded the run blocking at left tackle according to analysts, and I really don’t know what to expect from C….  It puts more load on th passing game to help out
