Meh. If it goes it goes. People still need thicker skin overall. We used to have an entire subforum called Smack Central that was no hards barred and resulted in some all time great content. We used to have rival fans post here regularly and engage in back and forth ribbing which if happened today would trigger tf out of a number of people here today who complain nonstop about current conversations here. In general this place is heavily sanitized compared to the huddle from 10 or 15 years ago. Change is inevitable but this is one of very few remaining original team message boards. Just enjoy it while it lasts.

Smack Central is in the realm of sports smack talk though. Which yeah can be fun and funny. This political and cultural stuff divides the people here that would otherwise be on the same side. In the narrow focus of sports fanning. 
 

It isn’t my decision or call, and I can do either.  Do have opinions on it though. 
 

And agreed this may be one of a dying breed of communities but it is still the best format for people interested in one particular pursuit. I haven’t seen better formats.  Can find something you said five years ago. To me even lol. This other stuff is so much stream of consciousness in the moment focused. 
 

And this can do that, but a lot more.

I feel like its there to help keep the political talk out of the sports forums.  It does a pretty good job of doing that and its a forum you never have to click on if you dont want to

That’s a good point. At the same time if you do go what you see will likely influence your sports interaction experience. Like Pamdora’s box. 
If you go for personal freedom or liberty above (almost) all, and I guess I would land there, you keep it. I wouldn’t miss it though.

Big A bragging about his countertops and posting pictures of him picking up Wendy's in his Bentley trying to flex was the best this site ever was imo.  Smack Central was a bunch of people who genuinely might have been kind of crazy just ripping on each other.

I've blocked more than a couple of people here that have tried to engage in certain political discussions and have expressed certain political views that are not shared by myself. There is no need for that in an NFL-centric board and at best it comes across as trolling.
