I understand asking guys to abide by a contract they signed, but let's be real. there's not always honor and loyalty on the other side of those contracts. Owners regularly cut good men with families because it's in the best interest of the team.

This. If you sign a contract, man up and honor it. The only reason not to honor is health related issues, and since he wants to be traded, that isn't the case.

That being said, I still wouldn't mind if he became our QB, but I don't see it happening.

The owners should of course honor them as well. But most of these contracts have escape/out clauses which is why owners can release players.
