1st and 3rd for Dwill

I suppose its a lot but we are talking

He set:

NCAA record 7,573 career all-purpose yards and 34 100-yard rushing games

Since he was drafted in 06 (1st round):

Selected for the Pro Bowl

Panthers Record for most rushing yards in a season

Panthers record for most rushing touchdowns and total touchdowns in a season

To me, he is worth at least a 1st rounder, but I guess that's just me.

Past records are meaningless.

I think DWill is worth a 1st as well, but RB's are a dime a dozen... and a 1st will never happen..

just to name a few who showed up this year.. some more than others.. there will be more names we get to know next year (or whenever football starts):

Arian Foster

Jamaal Charles

LeGarrette Blount

Ryan Torain

Peyton Hillis

BenJarvus Green-Ellis

Chris Ivory

Fred Jackson

Mike Tolbert

James Starks

I am a huge DW fan and I hope he retires as a Panther, but still you have to admit that a 1st and 3rd is a lot to give up for a running back given their risk of injury and longevity.
Umm well Dwill ain't really had no major injuries to speak of. He has some minor injuries, but no major ones. Plus he is only 28 years old and still got alot of miles left on the tires sort of speak. We could vey easy get that 1st and 3rd for him and then we draft a player with that first round pick and he could turn out to be failure. There is no way of telling what we would get out of a guy we draft any round. I want them to keep him around. But if not then a 1st and 3rd sounds great to me.:grouphug:

:eek6: Can you please explain a little better on what you mean " Keep Dreaming"??:iamwithstupid:

You are dreaming if you think a team is going to give even a 1st round pick for Williams....much less a first and a 3rd. A frist and a third could get them a 10 year OL and a capable running back.

I don't see your point. Dwill is one of the best right now in the league. I'm sure there is a team out there willing to give up a 1st and 3rd for him. Maybe a John Fox type deal maybe from Denver. :p:smilielol5:

No one is going to give a 1st and 3rd for D.Will. I've loved watching D.Will over the years but you're just being a homer if you think any team would give up a 1st and 3rd for him. No way in hell. He just isn't worth it at this point in time.

He's talented and I think he can bounce back from the injuries but as of right now no team would be that stupid.

I don't think you understand the value of a 1st in a 3rd. Why the hell would you trade them for an aging RB that was just on IR? Makes so much more since to spend that 1st on a top talent RB in the draft.
