Though we appreciate your passion... this is incredibly off topic.

Though you may not care about anyone else not living in your tax bracket, the least you could do is show some respect. Not everyone who lived there was on welfare. There were plenty of successful, well-educated people who lost everything.

Someone with a soft porn wolverine avi should be more tactful.

so easy to pick this apart.

First of all, if someone is afraid of a response, they should keep their trap shut.

Tactfu? You are making assumptions about my tax bracket. Gawd your stupid.

As for noot caring for people, once again, you don't know me. That being said, difficult to feel sorry for people who lack basic survival skills. That not my problem.

Finially, so glad you judge people by avatars. I'm sure satan will have fun with you.

Go play in traffic.

One more off topic post.

When I came to Galveston a few years ago, 90% if the issues had to do with all th people still living off government, YEARS after being sent here from new orleans, by katrina. It took another hurricane to get them out of here.

If you were to visit new orleans today, you will still see many areas that haven't been rebuilt. This after the federal government gave them so much money, that if ya want help to rebuild after hurricans now, you best have a lawyer to fight, or ya won't get a dime.

New orleans still talks about katrina as if is was just a few months ago.

Galveston rebuilt with far less help per capita. People didn't wait for hand outs. Whether they had money or not, they just started rebuilding.

I've seen rebuilding process first hand. It is amazing to see a community come together like that, and just help themselves rather than wait for hand outs.

Yeah, you could say I'm jaded. I wonder how much longer that katrina card will be played.

It's worn out.

Forgive me if it seems Im making assumptions... but in an online forum, all you have to go on is a picture that people present and what people say. I wouldn't say thats an assumption, but a reasonable deduction. I'll be more careful next time.

Now I don't want to take your misspelled words out of context, but if you're going to call someone "stupid," be sure that your remarks are not loaded with grammar failure.

Im only saying this because I care about you... and I don't want you, as a Panther fan, visiting any other message boards embarrassing the rest of us with what others can only ASSUME is... incompetence.

I can see now that we're going to be great friends!

God Bless.

    • If we lose tomorrow we’d have to sweep the Bucs in order to get into the playoffs. With a loss tomorrow the Bucs would then hold the tie breaker if we finished tied If we can’t split with NO then we sure as hell not sweeping Tampa It’s win or go home tomorrow in my eyes  Biggest game since 2017 playoff game imo
    • Grok AI: No, there are no credible reports that the Carolina Hurricanes offered Jake Guentzel the same contract terms as Tampa Bay (7 years, $63 million total, $9 million AAV) before he signed with the Lightning. Reliable sources, including The Athletic, consistently reported that Carolina’s offer during negotiations was an eight-year deal worth $64 million ($8 million AAV). Guentzel did not accept it promptly, leading the Hurricanes to trade his negotiating rights to Tampa Bay on June 30, 2024, for a 2025 third-round pick. He then quickly signed the 7x$9M deal with the Lightning on July 1, 2024. Guentzel himself later reflected (in 2025 interviews) that staying in Carolina was his initial preference, but negotiations stalled and “didn’t work out,” with Tampa’s opportunity becoming a “no-brainer.” No reports from outlets like ESPN, NHL.com, or insiders (e.g., Elliotte Friedman, Pierre LeBrun, Frank Seravalli) indicate Carolina ever matched or offered the Lightning’s exact terms—total money, AAV, or length. The extra year was Carolina’s key advantage, but they reportedly stuck closer to $8M AAV and moved on when Guentzel explored options.
