Beason: Cam For No.1, Has "It" Factor

All these people discounting Beasons opinion bc he is just a team leader/probowl LBer. I'd think he knows what he is talking about more than anyone on this board. Idiots

Why? Why is he an expert on young QBs? He plays on a a different side of the ball and just because he is good at MLB means he's a good judge of NFL quality QB talent?

Gimme a break. Why don't you give the same benefit to people who do it for a living, specifically with QBs?

Because he'd rather have a talent like Cam's on his team vs playing against him

Yep, he knows from his experiences against Josh Freeman, that it's not easy for a smaller LBer like him to chase around those big QB's who can run and change direction well.

Of course, TRD knows better though.

Well, most of the people who are doing this for a living, are saying that Newton is a top ten talent too.

Why do you get to make favorable comparisons that aren't accurate one bit but when people make actual comparisons that are spot on that are unfavorable people get all pissy?

He's nothing like Josh Freeman unless you want to count race and height? Are those the basis for a fair comparison?

His game is nothing like Freeman or Ben or Rodgers or anyone. His game is Pate White, Mike Vick, Vince Young, The Golden Calf of Bristol.

He can one day hope to be like the others but now right now he's not.

You told me the other day he was nothing like Vick. You said "terrible comparison" to quote you exactly. Guess you are changing your mind.

    • I didn't move the goal posts. But anyone who follows football who wants to engage in a rational discussion can't argue that 10 7th round picks are equal to 10 1st rounders in value. The argument has always been we haven't spent as much on defense has we have on offense. Draft picks have value just like salary. We have not spent the same amount of draft pick salary cap on defense that we have on offense since drafting Bryce. It's not even close. Just the 2 1sts we used on Bryce, 2 overall 1sts have a value of 6000. That doesn’t even factor in DJ Moore or the 2 2nds. Bryce cost more than everything we've spent on defense in 6 damn years.
    • We need to hope this scenario plays our next week he fails with pressure…what that means with Evero, is beyond me
    • Woukd be a great addition You know the issues from my prespective, 2 things the Panthers must do 1. Edge or pass rushers or 2 oline or 3 oline or as Andy Reid says, when in doubt, draft a lineman it is time   That oline is troubling plus a small person at QB  they   1. Can do a lot better than mayes at center, 2. and lewis has had injuries all season. 3. Moton should not have  been resigned long term, 4. corbett is a shadow and will probably be released  5 and Christianson coming off Achilles   6 and the kicker, would be Ickey’s contract if they decide to keep him INMO rookie and contracts will be needed to offset all that
