Shawn Zobel Says He Knows Carolina's Top 3 Prospects

Got some more draft news for you guys
Alright here's the deal. Carolina is still looking at Cam Newton at No. 1 overall, despite what other reports may say.
Their draft board, from what I've been told, is as follows: 1. Cam Newton, 2. Patrick Peterson, 3. Nick Fairley
It's uncertain if Gabbert's Pro Day did anything to effect his standing with the team yet (give me some more time on that)
I've been told that the Arizona Cardinals could likely be one team to trade up in the draft, potentially to draft Newton or Gabbert.

Take It FWIW

Zobel looks like a 15 year old with a website. Honestly, wouldn't trust the guy. Panther81 what do guys think of Zobel

This is true, but he did have the Cam article before anyone else & is known in the draft world. Respected? Idk, that's why I said take it fwiw.

    • I will allow that sometimes the players sound smarter than I expected, vocabulary seems broad and seems like they know what the words mean when they use them. A lot of them.  Some others are perpetuating the cliche.    But our organizational IQ? Bryce Young is our starting QB and we have no one to challenge him. Low end of the bell curve.
    • Though question the validity of this chart, it does remind me of concerns I have with our offense. I’m unsure whether it’s Canales doesn’t trust Bryce to execute his gameplan or if the route concepts and scheme is vanilla and unimaginative by design.  When watching other games, the receivers seem like they get more separation and aren’t as clustered together as ours. The Panthers WR, TE and RBs, more often than not, seem very close to each other and almost like their feet are stuck in a lower gear in and out of routes/off the LOS. Often times, unclear of their positioning when the first read isn’t there and where they should be positioned within the options of that particular route concept (e.g. Bryce is under duress and the play breaks down….where do you go? Pre-snap we thought it was man, it’s disguised well as zone). It’s almost like if the coaches don’t tell them, the players aren’t intelligent enough to figure this out on their own. Or are the players simply doing as told by the coaches in film study, practice and in-game, which means the coaching is inept.
    • I think Young has totally killed the idea of drafting undersized QB's and hoping it works. Especially at such a high pick and putting all your cards on the table. He won't last in this league.
