Bills Believe Cam Is Their Franchise QB

My thing is people are here really getting mad at me because I'm thinking about our situation for the upcoming season while others are ready to suck it up to draft a QB in next years draft.

See, here is where you are wrong. You want to draft Cam because you feel he is the best for our franchise. No one can fault you for that. But your assumption that people dont care about winning or are content with our QB situation because they dont want Cam or Gabbert using the first pick is false, quick, knee-jerk reaction. Some of us can look at the top talent of the draft class, and gain a vision of value. It is clear that defense is the top talent of this draft, and it is hard to dispute that logically. If we didnt have the #1 pick, the most important pick in the draft for various reasons, you want to make sure you are getting the real deal. There are only a couple players that have that make-up, and none of those players are QB. There are a million shades of gray, unfortunately you choose to see either black or white(nothing to do with race but an analogy, sucks I have to clarify that on this board, thanks KT).

Chan Gailey is a QB guru. If he thinks Newton is an outstanding prospect... you guys should probably draft him #1 overall and pass on Gabbert. :biggrin5:

yeah and what about the fact he thinks Gabbert is an outstanding prospect too?

    • damn I wish somebody would sign him. This has been going on for weeks.    I think if the team wanted to sign him we probably would have heard something about interest on our part.    Or any TE. It looks like they have set that room. And we have taken guys two years running, a guy like this would be blocking them. We need to see if they have it or not. And we should see if Tremble is gonna ever do anything.      In general, with the TEs
    • Dude, there aren’t rose colored glasses big enough for you to call this “not a bad draft.” BC was not a good pick. He was taken with the 6th pick in round 3 and he’s been a backup OL. Tremble also wasn’t a win. Another 3rd rounder who’s easily replaced. Only reason either of them started games is because of injuries or a lack of a better starter. Chuba’s got heart but he’s had one solid year behind a solid run blocking unit. Other than that he’s underwhelmed and like we saw with Dowdle and Foreman, it’s not hard to find cheap pickups who perform as well. Horn has been a good starter but honestly that draft had so many solid starters we could have taken. With as many picks as we had, him and Chuba is absolutely a bad draft. We needed OL and BC and Brown was a terrible effort. You clearly didn’t watch the Senior Bowl if you thought Brown had a chance in the NFL. The huddle draft folks wanted Humphrey and Smith and instead we got crap and Mahomes was the winner.
