There really isn't much risk to Cam Newton.

Awesomeness!!

with that logic why don't we just take Gabbert?

He's pretty and chicks will buy his jersey, probably even more sales than newton due to a whole different demographic. plus there will be good looking women around the stadium more often instead of dumbass football illiterate retards that want cam newton on our team because "he run fast and win".

I plan to avoid this board Thursday night. If Cam is selected the haters will cry like we've never seen crying before as they make thread after thread after thread. If Cam is not selected...the haters will make thread after thread after thread laughing at the huggers. The entire first page, no matter who we select, will be filled with inane tomfoolery.

This is exactly why I plan to be here on Thursday...to witness the MAYHEM!

    • well i could go on & on but i will just highlight it by saying big difference trust me from the SEC & NFL.it's honestly like comparing apples & oranges especially when you are talking about a  LT. in the NFL you are going up against the most athletic freaks of nature the world has to offer . .the NFL also has much more exotic & complicated defensive schemes than what they are used to seeing at Georgis &  finally but most importantly you have to learn how to master complex bio mechanics where the body kick steps instantly as a reaction to these world class athletes rush without really making a conscious effort it's more of a learned muscle memory  & it can take thousands upon thousands of reps to master rproper technique for a LT in the NFL especially if you are still very raw like Monroe Freeling is    ...just saying
    • All that being the case or maybe being the case, we do not know Wharton’s timetable n the first place. They are being coy about it. Or maybe not. They say week to week the board says he is terminal lol and must be replaced. Who knows? It may or may not warrant a fairly drastic solution.  Walker is a bargain and we are not well stocked at OL despite recent investments. Freeling has yet to have a single padded practice. Too much speculation driving this plan IMO.
    • I would really love to know who’s actually making these moves because it’s weirdly vague who’s doing the hiring and firing.
