Cam's new number?

I think Cam should talk to David Gettis about getting his #12 jersey. Cam should wear a classic QB number like #12.

Gettis should be wearing a classic wide receiver's number. He could wear #80. It's available I think. That was the number that the greatest receiver of all time wore ... Jerry Rice with the 49ers. #82 might be available ... Steelers star receiver John Stallworth wore it. #85 is available ... Bengals receiver Chad Johnson loved that number so much he changed his last name to Ochocinco.

So what actual numbers are available for him to choose from? I think he should be #13.

QBs can choose anything from 1-19.

these are currently taken...

2 Clausen, Jimmy

3 Moore, Matt

4 Kasay, John

6 St. Pierre, Brian

7 Baker, Jason

8 Lloyd, Rhys

9 Null, Keith

10 Edwards, Armanti

11 LaFell, Brandon

12 Gettis, David

15 Wright, Wallace

16 Pike, Tony

so he has 1, 5, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19 to choose from and probably 6, 9, and maybe 3 will be available as well.

#1 would be a good homage to his mentor, warren moon. by some it probably would be seen as him being arrogant, though. i wouldn't care.

Come on now , it's not that hard to ignore it , and the sarcasm behind it was blatantly obvious. Everytime someone makes a reference to something racist said on tv/radio etc. it doesn't automatically make them necessarily believe it as well. Why does everyone constantly get mad or upset about this?

Comment doesn't bother me...but the fact that so many are talking about racism this or that lately while attaching Gifs and profile pics of only "white" breasts and booty is troublesome....haha

If you must post semi-pornographic crap to accentuate a post...lets share the love to the sistas out there.....that is REAL swag...

Sure is something to have a QB that's bigger than almost all the other rookies around him for once.

this.

I dont know if Rhys is going to be back next year, but if he cant get #2, then #8 would be the perfect alternative. That's my fav number, lol.

In the end, I hope he's able to get #2. Although he says it doesnt matter the number, I know that #2 is special to him

They are all wearing #00 Jerseys because the football card companies cut the jerseys up and put them on cards. They use 00 because when they cut up the jerseys the patch part of the jersey is worth a premium. He also probably wore 50 different jerseys so they would have enough jerseys to cut up for all of the different product they release throughout the year.

Good deal. Thanks for the info. He should go against the grain and take #13. IMHO.

he got into a ton of trouble there as well.

he was on a team that won a championship, but he wasn't much of a part of it. he was just there.

OK, let's compromise. Add 1 and 3 ad his former 2 you get 6. So he should use that, yeah #6... You know, he wouldn't look good in a 6. maybe he should be 17.. ;D

    • If we lose tomorrow we’d have to sweep the Bucs in order to get into the playoffs. With a loss tomorrow the Bucs would then hold the tie breaker if we finished tied If we can’t split with NO then we sure as hell not sweeping Tampa It’s win or go home tomorrow in my eyes  Biggest game since 2017 playoff game imo
    • Grok AI: No, there are no credible reports that the Carolina Hurricanes offered Jake Guentzel the same contract terms as Tampa Bay (7 years, $63 million total, $9 million AAV) before he signed with the Lightning. Reliable sources, including The Athletic, consistently reported that Carolina’s offer during negotiations was an eight-year deal worth $64 million ($8 million AAV). Guentzel did not accept it promptly, leading the Hurricanes to trade his negotiating rights to Tampa Bay on June 30, 2024, for a 2025 third-round pick. He then quickly signed the 7x$9M deal with the Lightning on July 1, 2024. Guentzel himself later reflected (in 2025 interviews) that staying in Carolina was his initial preference, but negotiations stalled and “didn’t work out,” with Tampa’s opportunity becoming a “no-brainer.” No reports from outlets like ESPN, NHL.com, or insiders (e.g., Elliotte Friedman, Pierre LeBrun, Frank Seravalli) indicate Carolina ever matched or offered the Lightning’s exact terms—total money, AAV, or length. The extra year was Carolina’s key advantage, but they reportedly stuck closer to $8M AAV and moved on when Guentzel explored options.
