not sure if it was dead or tranquelized, but it was laid out under the sunset bridge. DOT or animal control was already there around 8:25

can't find anything online about it yet, but several people have already told me that there were spottings of a bear somewhere in the charlotte just the other day

When I was growing up in NC, we never saw bears in the piedmont. Now they are seen frequently this time of year. Its due to a combination of increasing population and further encroachment on their habitat I guess.
