Moore to the Dolphins?

It wasn't that we were desperate.. he put up some of the best QB numbers at the end of that season.

this is actually closer to the reason..

if I were interesting in picking up some hindsight glasses, where would I get those?

Unless Miami makes a silly offer, I suspect we would match it - I think this new coaching staff wants to kick the tires on Moore a little bit and with the lockout he may be the "veteran backup" we've been talking about.

yeah, there's no rush to find out.

i just would rather they find someone with more starting experience than moore has had. at least find someone who is more a student of the game like pennington.

I don't think Moore signs his tender here if it comes to that.

I also want to point out that Verge, Mav and I started this rumor so take that for what it's worth.

but then again, we did play some piss poor teams, and teams resting their starters for the playoffs as well.........so...yeah.

not exactly true..

I've been looking things up all day in a sad attempt to show people the light, so I think I'm done for now..

IIRC, 2007, he beat 2 out of 3 teams still in the hunt for the playoffs and looking to put up a fight..

This happens every time Moore is brought up, people try and discredit his wins.

He played 3 teams in the playoffs in 2009, lost to the Patriots in New England by 7 points in the rain/snowy conditions, beat the other two, also beat the Bucs, and we beat the Saints who were resting starters.

During that stretch he played Freeman, Brady, Manning, Favre, and Mark Brunell.

He looked better than all of them. Pats were fighting for position, Giants were fighting for their lives in the last game in their stadium, and Vikes were fighting for home field advantage. Bucs as a division game in his first start then the Saints resting starters.

Not a bad stretch of games and definitely not meaningless for us or the opponents.

Keep hating.

Oh yeah, Smitty, Moore and DWill to the Dolphins because all 3 think the Cam pick was a joke then the Panthers move to LA and you guys go back to rooting for the Bobcats.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
