Plaxico?

I am not sure this has brought up but why not? He will be a cheap guy to get at this point. Will it be a long term fix? Not really but it does gives Cam another big target to throw at. Only issue is, what type of shape is he in now? I could see Shockey helping Plax get with the program in Carolina. Hopefully, he will come out with something to prove as in showing he still has something in the tank. What you think folks? Heck, I am bored at work and I need something to pass time until 2 pm.

no. the guy was nothing but trouble well before the dummy shot himself in the leg. not a team guy at all and not a guy that can keep out of trouble.

few people remember the headache he was for the giants before the crap that got him in jail. dude was already suspended from the team for blowing off practices.

i really want nothing to do with this loser.

add to it his age and years out of the league? man you are really scraping the bottom of the barrel if you go after this guy or you are some bleeding heart that just wants to give a guy a chance regardless of how bad he could be for the team.

and don't think that just because vick did alright after he got out that this will result in the same thing. as much as i didn't like vick before the dog stuff, he was nowhere near the trouble that plax was.

I agree with you on some points. I guess it just popped in my head. I'm not for it or against it. Thanks

Yeah I'm sure he's going to the Eagles. Him and Vick are buddies, both from Virginia, etc.

I'd much rather get someone like Floyd from the Chargers, maybe in a Smith trade or something.

According to Brandon Jacobs, he has interest in St. Louis as well (Spagnuolo connection).

And re: Floyd, unless they revert to 2010 rules, he'll be a UFA

They call the system rehabilitation. Is it possible that incarceration has changed the man? I do not know many football players other than Vick who have been in this situation, but that seems to be working well for the Eagles.

I do not see how it could hurt to bring him in for a year to compete against our WR's for a starting position on the team. He will hopefully have a pretty good message for our young recievers too if he truly learned anything from this situation.

Plus, our team is desperate for a veteran WR and Buress would be cheap.

I guess honestly, I will take any tall veteran WR on the market at this point......

this has been brought up a million times and NO.

Let him go to the Eagles or Jets who allow trash on their team. We have a future in our WRs, we don't really need him. A vet QB, DT and even a CB, DE would be better.

    • It’ll be interesting to see how the board falls I completely agree with you on TE for us The safety from Oregon would be the cherry on top for Evero’s defense/scheme.  If a OL’men is there that you love it would be very hard to pass up. This fan base seems to just see Walker as a stop gap but I wouldn’t be so sure. He’s the same age as Ekwonu. He’s had a much more impressive career arc/progression than Icky has. He’s the better pass protector. As far as I see it if Walker has a good year I’d bring him back over Icky. Ekwonu isn’t some elite franchise LT. Playing next to Lewis is going to be great for Walker much like it has been for Icky. We definitely need to get younger/cheaper on the OL though so for this reason alone it’s still top of my list come round 1 if board falls this way  Could also use another corner with Mike Jackson’s deal up after this season and needing a nickel but Corey Thornton looked really good in that role in the limited time we got to see him. However he’s coming off an achillies injury and you never know with those.  Then as mentioned above we do still have a need at WR. As far as “weapons” go it’s kind of a 2 man show with Tmac and Coker and neither is a burner. If Jordan Tyson is there at 19 and we can have a young WR group locked up for cheap that’s a huge advantage cap wise  And don’t forget linebacker. That clip in Devin’s Lloyd blueprint they used from Evero saying they need more intelligence there could’ve been left out for Wallace’s sake but it’s true. Wallace is lost in coverage. Pair a smart linebacker with Lloyd and that’s a group with Wallace and Cherelus being depth
    • The fact that this is even a discussion is a testament of the level of front office badassery that's going on.
    • Not always. LT was for the Giants. So was Ray Lewis. Von Miller was moreso than Manning his final year in the season that shall not be named. It's usually the QB, but not always.
