Clausen not rolling over on being the starter

Yes more useless fluff until the lockout get settled. Clausen is working out every day trying to get better. It doesn't appear that he got the memo saying Newton will be the starter day 1.

Once the lockout is lifted, Clausen is eager to return to Carolina and begin his battle for the starting quarterback spot.

"I can only control what I can control and that is going out each and every day and working as hard as I can to get better," he said. "That is what I am doing here each and every day, working out with the guys to try and get ready for the season."

That is all Clausen has ever said, ever since we drafted him.

"All I can do is try and get better. All I can do is try and get better. All I can do..."

Shut the hell up JC! Either cook something else up to say or don't say anything at all!

I actually hopes he gets better so we can trade him for a 2nd rounder.

This.

I know a lot of people resent the hell out of him, but we should all root for his success anyway. Ideally he will start the first few games and play well enough to generate some trade interest. If he isn't a bust, maybe he can be our version of Kevin Kolb in 2012.

I personally don't want him to ever touch the field. I'd rather see Moore back up Newton than Clausen. Moore needs to be the man standing by with the clip broad and headset

You guys are so judgemental!!!

Here is a guy being humble and not giving up.

Trying his best and wanting to improve no matter what!

With his attitude, Clausen will win a championship for sure!

In something other than football, because he really sucks at it.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
