Well friends, I probably won't be on as much anymore here shortly. Luckily, thank God, thank Wife, I got hired on at Goodyear here in the town I live. I will be a tire builder. They tell me with my college degree it won't be long before I move into management. Let's hope. I don't really care one way or the other. I'm just pumped to be getting into such a great job.

The pay is 28 an hour, time and a half for OT and triple pay for holidays and a man can have as much OT as he wants.

Some of you know I work for the family business currently. With the wars, we've been negatively affected and it's been a strain. I started hunting around and have been trying to get on at Goodyear for 7 months. They finally called and I passed all the tests and background.

I just wanted to share my excitement with the people I've spent years with. Thanks for everything guys. I'll check in from time to time but I start on the 2nd so my posting won't be during shift obviously.

Goodyear Racing. :D:)

Man that's truely awesome! Congrats to you and the fam...

I was a juror on a case against Good Year...

The guy won.... They were trying not to give him workmans comp due to an injury on the job... Be careful with that and keep your eyes open...

But Congrats man. I wish u the best of luck and sincerely hope that since u have a degree that you outshine your fellow employees and get moved up to management...

    • I was playing around with the ESPN playoff predictor and it shows if 49ers and Rams finish with same record, the Rams hold the tiebreaker.
    • This is my thinking as well. Seattle played as good as they could on defense and Panthers still had a chance until those back to back turnovers.  I don't think the Rams played particularly well in their game against us, alot things went our way in order to win.  Someone pointed out the Rams were bad on the east coast road games and Seattle has been the better road team but they just fought a hard contested game against the Panthers, and now they travel to San Fran this week for their biggest game of the season to determine the division and if they are the overall #1 seed in the NFC or will be traveling for the Wildcard weekend.  If they lose they then travel back cross the country to play a team they've just beaten two weeks ago, not saying they won't be favored against the Panthers but the energy of hosting our first playoff game in 10 years along with the get back effect of having just lost to this team could be huge.
    • I don’t know about shadowing and all that, but according to this, whatever we are doing is working
