Are we good at WR

Steve Smith...if he stays..and I hope he does

David Gettis...

Brandon Lafell...

Kealoha Pilares...

Armanti Edwards...

David Clowney...

Wallace Wright...

Charley Martin...

Trent Guy...

I've put my list in order of what I think. I only see us bringing in another WR is Smitty leaves and I think that we will switch between Lafell and Pilares at the slot position per matchups. I wasn't impressed with Clowney, don't remember much about Martin other than little speed and good hands. I recall Guy being impressive in Preseason but Fox never played him, soooo idk. Wright was decent a PR and Edwards is up in the air still.

What do you guys think?

I think that we are good with these WR's THIS year... Only if Smitty stays... Then next year we can get another TOP talent and we'll be good for years to come. I'm banking on Gettis breaking out this year though... We'll need another top guy to keep Smitty next year though.

I wouldn't be surprised if we go after a great WR this year; although I don't think that it's pressing at the current time...

Still need a proven WR.

Hi, my name is Steve, Steve Smith. You may know me as the only proven WR on the Carolina Panthers' team since Musin Muhammad and Ricky Proehl. Contrary to popular belief, I am not a free agent, and I am still under contract to perform for the Panthers. I know there's been plenty of talk of me leaving the team during this turbulent off season, but rest assured. I will be a Panther until I retire or the team decides to ship me off for draft picks (with Hurney's track record late ones). I love this establishment, and I'm ready to win. So lets make it happen, or as God is my witness I will find Ken Lucas and I'll beat him again.

    • Very True--and I am a former HS English teacher.
    • Not a Moore fan-but he had a few good games last year-but I want players that scare you--Renfrow's route running and intelligence, Legette's size, speed, and strength, AT's intelligence and route running, Coker's body control, strong hands, and abilty to win contested catches, and TMac's size, body control, and ability to find soft spots in zone coverages.  Horn gives them the ability to stretch the field and he plays special teams.   Moore has a nice smile and can dance.  He filled in well last season, but to get better as a team, you have to upgrade your players.  I think Moore is a bottom of the roster guy who got bumped when we drafted 2 WRs and signed a legit free agent.  Here is the thing--TMac makes us better because he is great against the zone--man?  Good luck with that.  AT's role can be reduced, and that is probably a good thing.  He can specialize in situational football. Coker?  Just getting started. XL?  Just getting started.  Drafting TMac was probably a bit of a wake up call, but XL will be better as the 2. Renfrow?  I see him splitting reps with AT--keeping both fresh and giving different looks. Horn?  Watch the safety cheat his side when he is in the game--I see a young Steve Smith type in him, but he has yet to play a game.  I hear that Morgan loves him.
    • Burns at 5-6 seems....a little aggressive.
