let's say you have a Matt Moore type QB....and then garbage. If your Moore QB hits a cold streak for a big junk you got nothing else to go to. If you have a couple competing.....you have an option that might have a hot hand.

I don't buy into that strategy. Having 3 turd QBs, hoping that one of them is hot on any given sunday. Eh.. that seems like the Panthers philosphy last season and we went 2-14.

No, we had a turd and 2 guys that belong on a practice squad. When Moore came out cold.....we had nothing to take shots with. If Fox had his way, he would have brought in another turd that season.

I remember those days, all centered around Julius Peppers as I recall. He and I went back and forth on that topic too.

I'm in the ambivalent crowd with guys like Mad Hatter. Don't really know if his source is legit or not, but none of what he's reporting sounds all that farfetched. Thus, I'm willing to accept it as valid and interesting discussion until I see reason not to (and I've said as much to him).
