Don't trade for Asante, if we trade, let's get Leon Hall!

What would you think the Bengals would want in return for this stallion? I think if we can get him, we may have a shot at making the playoffs, this year! Some of you guys already stated we have the best running core, TE core, and linebacking core. So let's make our secondary one of the best as well. Now, we would probably have to give up picks, but I'm cool with that.

My offer would be: 2013 1st round pick, 2012 2nd round pick (and if that is not enough, a 2013 3rd round pick)

If we can get Hall, our team will be set for years to come.

Well, we are not getting Cromartie. After him, every other corner are pretty much light weights. We've burn Clements on a number of occasions and he is getting older. Carlos Rodgers used to get burned by TO if memory serves correctly, showing he is not a physical corner in spite of his size. Speaking of size, every other corner after them are 5'10" or shorter. Even if they have good coverage skills, they won't be able to out muscle or out jump taller receivers. Leon Hall is the best guy in my opinion to fill this void in our secondary, the only thing is we have to trade for him.

By the way, Asante is definitely not worth the trade risk.

Bengals let Jonathan Joseph go...

Why would the give up the other corner that was good?

They haven't exactly extended him yet, and he will be a free agent in 2013. Perhaps they wouldn't mind trading him for some picks.

Edit: Excuse me, he's a free agent in 2012

    • FLA showed everyone it’s not about superstars. they bullied the best line in the NHL into obscurity. they played hard, were in the right positions, and ran over everything that got in their way.
    • That’s really not what you said and when I even expressed doubt as to your intentions with the post you doubled down and remained unclear on whether you were trying to drag Dean Smith for whatever reason. You just got the facts wrong, which if you don’t follow the local college programs like you say then maybe you just were mistaken and thought Smith didn’t win championships or have legit superstars, and that is ok, but you just doubled down when my first post was more corrective than anything. I’m not sure what you expect posting objectively false things like “RBA has a lot of wins with nothing to show for it like Dean Smith” (paraphrasing) on a message board with plenty of UNC fans. I’m not taking it as a personal affront, we can agree to disagree, Dean Smith’s legacy fortunately will not be affected by this conversation. Screw the (Florida) Panthers?
    • Bring in the free agents and trades.  Florida is the best team and unless Tulsky makes it happen, it’s more of the same…which isn’t bad…but it’s time to win a goddamn cup.
