any player in the nfl that would want a contract like peppers?? I wouldnt and that seems to be the same sentiment amongst journalist of the 2 suitors who come up most in the peppers rumors

It would definitely be worth it for a QB who is as good at QB as Peppers is at DE.

Outside of that, I honestly don't know if I would. My team would already have to have said good QB, and just about everything else in place except for a premiere pass rusher.

The Vikings traded for J. Allen last year when they had an inexperienced QB in Jackson. Most teams realize that D whens championships and a good pass rush is essential for a great D and that is what Peppers does best. I don't see us getting two 1st rounders for him but I do think that some team will be willing to trade for him.

personally i dont think its the draft picks teams would have to give that scares them away, its the contract. if peppers realy wants out, and its not about the money he needs to be willing to take a contract thats around 12-13 million a year. i thnk someone would sign him at that.

For a talent like peppers....yes. Watch out for the Broncos or The Patriots.

The broncos have been stock piling players to make trades for picks to get peppers??

The patriots have been quiet this year and they did trade away there starting olb in a 3-4 defense??

If they think that he is the guy who can get their team over the hump and deep into the playoffs...why wouldn't you trade for him?

Think about it this way...If a team said give us your first rounder and you will be the best team in you conference giving you the best chance to make it to the superbowl. Would you take that?

Or give us your first rounder and you will go from an 8-8 team to an 11-5 team, go to the playoffs, and have a shot to make a lot of noise with you newfound defensive talent...would you not take that?

The bottom line is that as fans we want to see continuity every season but as coaches of those teams they know its a "what have you done for me lately" league. Therefore they are probably more willing to mortgage the future for the present. A trade involving Pep is a perfect example of that. IMO it would be a perfect trade for a team like Denver who has the offense, they have some pieces on defense, and Pep would put them over the top in that division. With Cutler, their Oline, Dawkins, and Peppers they would be the favorite to win that weak division for a few years...

    • If we don't go OT, we will regret it.  What bothers me?  Are we going to get a starting-caliber OT at 19?  I think the draft is solid at OT, and the more I read up and watch video, the more I watch Lomu, the more I want him.   I see Freeling as a RT who needs some work in run blocking (since we need to run first, maybe not a good fit) and I see Proctor ending up as a Guard.  After Lomu (assuming Mouigia and fanu are gone), I think we wait until round 2.  In round 2, there are about 3-4 I like (Zuhn--good pass blocker and VERY underrated right now; Tiernan is a very good pass blocker as is Miller from Clemson, but both are not good in the run game.  Max Ixxxxx from Ariz St is impressive too---technically, there is not a of difference in these second tier guys--good in pass pro, need work in the run game.   If we wait until round 2 for an OT, we probably need to sign Nijman and start him early.   I almost think this is what we should do if Lomu is gone.  There is a big dropoff after him, imo, and I think we'd get better value if a stud ILB or edge is there.  Someone like TJ Parker Clemson makes sense. If Lomu is gone, trading back might be the play.
    • And what is x gunna help with except show him what not to do. Plus for the first year and a half he was just an obstacle
    • I understand that some people want WR. I am solidly against using yet another high pick there. Coker is pretty good and we used No picks on him.  What I think we really need at WR is a little bit of a Smitty lite. It is ridiculous to say let’s get a Smitty because you just can’t do that, but someone not tall and long striding but more in his mold. I think we’d have a pretty well rounded group.    Looking at tackle, with replacing Moton looming, it just seems like the no brainer.  You fill in Icky short term. Depending on how he recovers, and how the new guy plays, you go from there. A tackle at 19 is most likely either a LOT, a ROT, or a big talented guard, at worst. We will need all three in the next couple of years.  I would love to have a stud ILB be there at 19 but the OL is the responsible thing to do I believe.
