Clayton says he beieves Peppers is not going anywhere

Recommended Posts

on the bright side if he signs the tender, we want have to go thru his agent to trade him. but honestly i realy want peppers to stay but the problem i have, is the cap space hes taking up. if we keep him hurney needs to do some major work to free up some cap space

Wouldn't suprise me at all if he is here next year. The Panthers want to keep him, and I don't think there are any teams out there willing to give up 2 1st round picks for Peppers.

espn says the Panthers aren't shopping him. and plan on keeping him.

and that teams that were expected to bid for him, have backed away.

Not the market he expected.

He plays for the Panthers @ $1 million per game.

Like it or not.

On top of that, he is going to take even more plays off. I foresee the Peppers from 2007 making another appearance.

And then we will just cut him and show every other team what he will do to them if they sign him. He would be taking a big risk, especially since he wants to have a Hall of Fame year. I don't think there is anyone in the hall of fame that just took two years off purposely and made it in.

if we cant trade him does neone think he will hold out? or do yall think we will drop the asking price for him before that happens?

He can't really hold out if what he says is true, he says he wants to make himself the best and he's maxed out in the 4-3 and wants to full fill his potential in a new scheme/team or what ever his deal is. If he holds out this year we can just play the same game next season as well and then he's a 31 year old been out of the game for two years and is past his prime de.

I don't want him here if he does not want to be here. I am hoping a trade gets done...and I think it will. Panthers FO does not want chemistry problems. I think they are just posturing right now saying they want to keep him. That raises his value on the market IMO. Teams will feel they have to give up more to get him if the Panthers don't HAVE to dump him.

Unlikely, the guy still wants to be paid and he wants to be as good as he can. You think any team will want him if he bails on us mid way through the season? Just like any other player who is franchised, they play their socks off for the reward at the end of the season.
