Did You Actually Want Cam Drafted?

armistice

As soon as Luck announced he was staying, I said to myself..well now.. Cam is plan B.

But I wasn't completely sold until days progressed up until draft day.

I felt it was a better chance of reward than risk. Love how genuine the dude is.

In the Panthers' situation at this time, I think he was definitely the right pick.

God i hope not!!

So the panthers were dead last in passing and they draft a QB known more for his running ability??

Obviously, the Panthers spent more time getting to know the truth about Cam and not so much time listening to those clowns on ESPN/NFLN. They realize that his running skills were not the whole package.

It's funny how running was okay and welcomed for the other top QBs but with Cam it was preceived as something negative.

I have wanted Cam as our QB since late January, after I took the time to do a bit of research on him and watch some of his games.

This thread takes me back to those arguments we had here in the months leading up to the draft. All I can say is I am so glad we did not take the vet route that many were advocating. We either would have been raped, like Arizona, or paying some old guy like Hasselbeck way too much to come in for a year or two.

The other alternative would be to be sitting here today with a roster made up of Matt Moore, JC, and probably Anderson. Sorry, but that screams 1st pick overall in 2012.

The team made the right choice . I am confident that in a few years, you will be hard pressed to find someone that admits that they didn't want Cam as a Panther.
