Other possibilities for Lucas?

How about Miami?

Dolphins must address cornerback too

The loss of Andre' Goodman in free agency wouldn't be a big deal if Jason Allen, the first-round pick in 2006, were ready to step in. Allen is not, at least coaches haven't thought so -- demoting him time after time, to the point he mostly was a special teams player late last season.

The Dolphins badly need cornerback help because they play in a division with Randy Moss and Wes Welker and a returning Tom Brady. They need a new starting cornerback because they will play against Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Ben Roethlisberger, Phillip Rivers and Jake Delhomme in 2009.

Half of Miami's games in 2009 are against teams with a current or former Pro Bowl quarterback. And there also is a game with the Atlanta Falcons and 2008 Rookie Of The Year quarterback Matt Ryan.

The Dolphins need cornerback help because receiver Andre Johnson is coming for a visit, and the last time he faced Miami's secondary, he shredded them with 10 catches for 178 yards. Miami also matches up against Steve Smith, Reggie Wayne and Antonio Bryant in 2009.

So the Dolphins need a starting-caliber cornerback and, at minimum, need someone with great promise to groom so he can step in when Will Allen is out of contact after the 2009 season.

Cornerback is now Miami's most glaring need. The need is so acute even T.O. might have had a chance of making it work in Miami.

But only if he would have come as a Pro Bowl cornerback.

The problem with that is Miami has two second round picks in a draft that is very deep at the CB position. Supposedly the top 10 CB's could all be gone by the early to mid third round because there is some good talent throughout.

KK...don't worry, someday they will have another QB and you won't have anything to post about anymore.

I don't think Luc fits the profile of a Parcells CB. He tends to like them a bit rough.

Unless the QB is the same or worse than Jake, then it will be more of the same, just with a different name.

    • I did not want to start or even think about *if* BY reverts back to pre-non last 9 games.   There is a lane in which Panthers are looking QB after this season, I feel its higher than most will realize. I mean....not kidding... has any team ever traded up to 1st overall twice in the teams history? I don't even want to think within 3 years, just foresee Tepper squeezing Dans and Brandts sacs to the point were they are forced to trade up for a another savior.....   The kicker is I feel this way with BY playing good-great..... I think there with be non-fixable problems for contract negotiations between BY&reps vs Panthers org on the whole. You can not pay 50+ million per over few years with 70% guarantees for 3,303 yards 15 TDs and 9 INTs......Cursed I tell you....
    • It's not surprising, but it's still surprising that many of these guys don't manage their money in such a way that provides them and their families a better lifestyle than most for the rest of their lives without even working a nine-to-five. I can't imagine making over a 100 mil for a decade and ultimately ruminating about supporting my family due to financial issues.
    • That why i mentioned the KC dynasty. Those three different playoff loses were not Allens fault, in fact 1-2 plays and Bills win. KC just have better players and better coaches and more luck.  Defense-wise, Bills have been trying to crack the Reid-Halhomes magic. Its near impossible with rules and KC home field advantage. Spags has started to force the league in naming him the best DC in NFL history. I agree if you take away Bill bielacheat.... Add in Andy Reid the best QB coach and brilliant play designer/play-caller, I mean that's too much for one QB to over-come on his own.  Just trolling or not, bad is bad scot. Allen is legit as any one QB has ever been.
