Panthers Plan to Contact Eagles

The Eagles are likely thinking that our 2nd round pick has a good chance of being in the 33-40 area. Maybe it could be enough to sway them considering they have to be over the cap...

IMO there's no way they can afford to keep all of the players they acquired this offseason. Someone is getting cut or traded before all is said and done. Samuel has never been my favorite high profile CB...and he probably only has 2-3 good years left with his style of play but I'm desperate for some good DBs on this team or its going to be miserable to watch this year.

They are right and that is why we should not give up a second for him

Not to beat a dead horse, but I really hope that we stay away from Samuel and Hanson. Neither fit what we are looking for moving forward past 2011. Yes Samuel is a #1 corner in the league, but he is on the wrong side of 30 and pretty expensive for a team who's ceiling is probably a 5-win season. Hanson seems like a nickel on a lot of teams, and possibly a dime for contenders. Maybe I'm getting it twisted, but I feel like this year we will see more quality players being cut due to salaries. All we need is a #2 corner 28-years old or under that doesn't break the bank. Captain is much better for the nickel and one of Stanford, Burney, Wilson, etc can be our dime. We are a few years away from being in the hunt and we need draft picks, cap space and patience.

I swear to you Lout I will stop posting things that I make up and don't hear. But this I heard so STFU.

Would you guys trade a 5th for that other Eagles CB?

You already broke your promise bro. You have already been exposed, and it's beyond bafflement that anyone is listening to the jargon that spews from your fingertips. So no sir, you STFU.

According to Eagles.com; Hanson is 30 years old and a 7 year NFL veteran. There has to be somebody out there with more potential than this guy.

we don't really need to go looking for potential at CB and DT. I think we need to go for consistancy. Someone who can do the job and knows the tricks of the trade.

Take the DTs for examples, our DTs are getting abused b/c they are seeing blocks and schemes that have never seen before. An older decent vet has been there and done that......

I agree with your sentiment if we weren't in rebuild mode and a couple years away from anything decent. Our DT's are rookies and are getting abused as most rookies do. I think one of Fua or McClain will start showing some flashes midway through the season. An older decent vet will only help put a band-aid on a team that has a long way to go.

good point bro a lot of people on this board are backing you up and agree with you. oh wait nope.

If I am the Panthers I still wait it out and hope the Eagles lower their demands for Asante. I think he is a rare talent who would upgrade this D immediately.

    • See that's the thing what I saw in game 2 was so embarrassing id rather they could just forfeit
    • Are you arguing that his height deficiencies and footwork within the pocket have not been a present issue clearly seen on his game tape particularly in the games he struggled in? Because that's simply denying what everyone in this fanbase who have watched the games have seen. It's interesting how hardline BY fans here quickly and effortlessly pivot from whailing about being victimized to becoming the aggressor and hurling out allegations of bias and hatred. And at the end of the day while Bryce Young clearly improved significantly from the first two games of the season the reality of the situation is he still finished 42nd in yards per pass attempt behind Mac Jones and tied with Caleb Williams and 38th in passing yards per game behind the likes of Gardner Minshew Aidan O'Connell Drake Maye and Will Levis. Furthermore it took Bryce Young 23 games to surpass Panthers legend Kyle Allen's 13 games worth of passing yardage in 2019. So if your argument is he became a head and shoulders better passer over the course of the second half of the season the reality is we're still waiting to see that growth this season. And there is nothing controversial or vitriolic about saying so from the mind of a rational observer.
    • Cam regularly threw for less than 200 yards and nobody questioned he was elite. He averaged 219 yds per game for his career.  You seem to be way too hung up on yards as a stat.  By that definition Jameis Winston should have been MVP by now.
