Yes!

I dont mind paying for it every once in a while but I would like to be able to drink at night in my room and not have to worry about room service.

Fwiw, I understand why they don't allow people to bring liquor onboard (besides the obvious reason that it cuts into profit). They can cut you off in the ships bar, but if you have it in your own room, you can get as drunk as you want to and decide to go swimming off the stern in the middle of the Atlantic.

I've never been on a cruise where they have been that awful about checking baggage, but I don't blame them. On my honeymoon my wife brought a full wine box on board and no one cared. She would buy a glass from the bar, then refill it from our stash.

Anyone ever had any luck or been caught doing it? I am going to try to take a few bottles with me on my cruise. I read to put it in mouth wash bottles and shampoo bottles. I really dont want to do this, but I guess I could if its the only way. lol

I've been caught breaking a casino machine for money and getting a bj in the elevator on a cruise...wasn't kicked off the ship for that so you should be fine ;)

I know a lot of unders do that thing with Listerine bottles.

ok, you can order bottle lids that when put on a bottle properly make the bottle look brand new. couple big water bottles full of vodka, tell them you have hydration issues and have to drink water constantly. this works real good for games, movies etc as well.

The problem with vodka in the water bottle is that it will bubble if the lid is tapped on. I took two cases of water on a cruise and they checked every single bottle. They also look to see if the seal has been broken.

My boy and I jacked probably about 5 bottles of alcohol from the store on the ship over a week. I wouldn't recommend it, but the option is there.
