Welcome Marcus Harrison

A former third-round pick, Harrison has struggled in the past to maintain the team's prescribed weight for him. Harrison reported to camp 14 pounds overweight in 2009, and it took four days of conditioning for the defensive tackle to shed enough weight for the staff to allow him back on the field.

"Marcus hasn't passed his physical," coach Lovie Smith said last week. "We're trying to get him in condition to go through one of our practices. We'll just keep monitoring him and see when he'll be ready to go."

I thought this guy could be our guy considering his history with Ron Rivera @ the bears. I read some great info on the guy yesterday on espn.

Espn said that he missed a lot of training camp and that's where he lost his job. He said he played better in the preseason and had three great games. Either way I see this guy as an upgrade over Irvin and Hayden and more potential.

    • FLA showed everyone it’s not about superstars. they bullied the best line in the NHL into obscurity. they played hard, were in the right positions, and ran over everything that got in their way.
    • That’s really not what you said and when I even expressed doubt as to your intentions with the post you doubled down and remained unclear on whether you were trying to drag Dean Smith for whatever reason. You just got the facts wrong, which if you don’t follow the local college programs like you say then maybe you just were mistaken and thought Smith didn’t win championships or have legit superstars, and that is ok, but you just doubled down when my first post was more corrective than anything. I’m not sure what you expect posting objectively false things like “RBA has a lot of wins with nothing to show for it like Dean Smith” (paraphrasing) on a message board with plenty of UNC fans. I’m not taking it as a personal affront, we can agree to disagree, Dean Smith’s legacy fortunately will not be affected by this conversation. Screw the (Florida) Panthers?
    • Bring in the free agents and trades.  Florida is the best team and unless Tulsky makes it happen, it’s more of the same…which isn’t bad…but it’s time to win a goddamn cup.
