For us to win ball games...

We have to have Cam passing for around 250 yards, and Dwill and Stew to be rushing for around 125 a game combined...Otherwise were just gonna fall very short in shoot outs all year. Were still a DT, and solid CB away from being a relevant defense...(I do love Hardy and Charles Johnson thank you John Fox) But this teams got a ways to go until were a playoff team, but it's just nice to know we have a leader under center that we can build around! (Rivera and company not one run play on that final drive? Come on...Not to mention we could have screened this team to death with the heat they were bringing all game.)

If Carolina is going to win games....

Defense will flat out have to find a way to generate turnovers. IMO that is the biggest key.

also if teams score on us that is fine. it happens. CAN'T let them score on us like the King TD or PP7 return. Pushing around and shoving it down our throats is fine.....easy TDs have to be eliminated. PP should of never had the chance to make a play. King should of never been allowed to go 70 yards.

For us to win ball games, Cam and the WR's, TE's can't be the only ones doing their job.

There were other players who played well, but their unit as a whole played down, or, the unit would be up one play and down the next.

Consistency. Finishing Drives. No stupid errors, penalties.

Those should be key points in practice this week.

Need a complete game this week.

We have to win multiple facets of the game to all but guarantee ourselves a win. Here is a philosophy to winning football games that I truly believe in:

1) Be the most physical team on the field. In all 3 parts of the game, win the physical game.

2) Lost yardage. Avoid losing yardage, cause them to lose yardage. Very simple.

3) Turnovers. Want to win this category each and every game if you want to win.

4) Big plays. You have to win this category. Create them, and prevent the other team from having them.

5) No foolish penalties. Self explanatory.

6) Kicking game. Win this facet of the game. It is a game changer (as evidence by the Cardinals game).

7) Togetherness. Stick together as a team. No finger pointing when things aren't going your way and no celebrating your own personal success, like stat touting and being selfish. It is a team effort at all times.

8) Don't flinch. Don't get down when the other team has a big play. Maintain the mental edge!

I think it is solid. If you do ALL of the above things, as long as you have some skill on your team and can move the ball, you will win football games. We didn't do all 8 of these on Sunday. That is why we lost.

you can do all of this poo and still not score a single point.

seriously, it's not rocket science.

tom brady said it best on a recent presser.."i love to find ways to get into the end zone."

it's that simple.

for carolina to win ballgames, they have to score the most points. all the yards the the world doesn't mean poo...case in point, the cardinals game.

I agree. BUT we do need to keep Green Bay's offense off the field, if we are going to have ANY chance at all! In order to do that, more than Cam, we need to establish a run game which we did not have last Sunday.

    • Two things: 1. Dr. Eric Eager is central to the draft process 2. I know that it was edited, but we didn't hear "Thieneman" one time, not even before the Vikings pick.
    • Why would he sign here as a guard when surely someone would sign him as a tackle?  Assuming he is healthy
    • Went back to watching the highlights. With a sober mind haha. Here is what I saw.    freddie needs to make 1 of those but the rest aren’t on him.    Slavin was BBBBAAAD again last night. Not sure what is going on with these game one Slavin gafs.    miller was ok but had his worst game in the playoffs so far.    nikishin was no good. His his awful turnover led to the first goal at the end of the first period that just can’t happen. ghost was beat like a drum multiple times last night, including the go-ahead goal at the end jarivs wont shoot. He is either hurt or he is struggling mentally and I think it could be a combination of both. He passed up a wide open net on the power-play only to pass it to no one and cleared it himself.     Svech played well. He is getting zero help on that line.    aho. Worst game as a pro. I mean that. He won’t shoot it, passes go to no one and turns it over repeatedly.  He did exactly what they did against Montreal game one when Miller had a turnover. Aho left his man to go help and left the golden Knight player wide open in front of Freddie.  If I was Rod, you Tell Aho when that thing hits your stick you fire it  someone needs to sit him down just him in a room and ask what’s going on. He seems soft, timid and has zero fire.   canes could have won that game   There isn’t a gap between these two teams  they are dead even   Carter Hart’s gonna get lit up in this series. We can beat that guy. the consensus last night was our defense played horrible and our stars won’t score.  clean the defense up. Tell the top line to shoot it everything and we’ll win tomorrow night.   Possibly convincingly.
