Steve Smith Vs Jerry Rice

Rice was 33 when he set the record for most yards in 1995. And he went on to have elite seasons until he was 40. I doubt Smitty continues playing for that long, but there is no question that he has atleast 2 elite seasons left after this year of playing vertically and being a deep threat. Then I think when he's 34-36 he'll move to just being a slot WR and will still be very productive. Then he'll probably retire at 37 or so. He's always been in great physical condition and with his attitude and intangibles there's really no telling how much he has left. Only he knows, but he definitely has a ton left in him.

With Welker's Stats but that game is not over...

Updated Welker again. He is 6 yds ahead of Smith to date, but has 57 Receptions, alot more than Smith. Dink and Dunk

And Welker blows past Smitty this week.

EDIT: Geez, ok, Welker barely eeks out an insignificant lead over Smitty this week.

    • That does sound familiar. Those fans are deep. In snow lol. you don’t want to be up there in January.   I would think they have probably seen it all. Except what…  the championship? Gotta feel for them.
    • I thought he was from watching him play and also doing his first HC job. I thought he was the real deal  Apparently what happened is Kraft committed to Mayo and I don’t remember the timeline exactly - but Vrabel was unemployed at the same time Belichick was unemployed. They both were fired (or out) after the 2023 season.  Kraft hired Mayo. Who was kind of an obvious disaster. He probably already had the deal in place but I will give Kraft credit for not sleeping. With Vrabel out there for 2025 he made the move he needed to make and if it hurt Mayo’s feelings then oh well.  I guess you can tell I am not fond of Kraft but that was a really savvy move. At his age, pretty good. Still has it.
    • It’s going to feel like a home game for the bills. There are so many of their fans that live down here now, and many of them have never seen Allen play in person since their last visit was 8 years ago. It didn’t matter for the cowboys game, but it might here. I think we likely lose a close one. Probably a questionable flag or two that doesn’t go our way. X factor for Buffalo will be Kincaid and Knox. If we do win it’s because we get ahead and play keep away from Allen. FYI- I have many friends who are Bills fans that are fed up with Beane who we all revere and think is the one that got away. They feel like he was great to land Josh but has done a terrible job of building around him (especially at WR) and rely on him to become super man to win- sounds kind of familiar, like the last time we had a franchise QB.
