They've been following football since 2006. Who gives a sh|t

they don't even know the name of the player that Smitty dragged around the end zone today. They're morons. Soon we'll be tearing it up again and they'll go back to putting bags on their heads

LOL, Saints only have a few more years with Brees then there right back into the basement. They will be irrelevant again sooner than later, they better enjoy it while it last.

Standards taints reply to this....

"NU UH he's never gonna leave he'll be playing at a high level for the next 7 year!!!!"

which was the same thing Colt fans said about 3 years ago...that time thing is a betch.

Regarding Rookie of the Year.....

-My opinion:

1. AJ Dalton

2. Cam Newton

3. Mark Ingram

4. Ryan Kerrigan

5. Randall Cobb

And personally, AJ Dalton has the lead by miles, if it wasn't for media bias.

In regards to how good Cam is...

-Take away Steve Smith and the refs bailing him out and it gets even less impressive

-I honestly thought he would throw a little better. He missed several throws and we dropped a few picks. You will find quite a few rookie QB's who throw better already- Andy Daulton principally among them.

His escapability does elevate his game a bit though. He made two unique plays you don't see often- the TD to Smith and the 3rd down conversion at the end of the 3rd that lead to the TD.

All in all, I think he is very good but nowhere near the hype. This game was just a fraction away- better RZ on our part or not as good RZ on their part, the busted TD, the questionable penalites, from being a blowout.

-He's about as good as Roesthlisberger. He'll need a top 2-3 defense to win a championship. Don't see that happening in Carolina soon.

EDIT: I don't seem him as a QB who can direct a complex offense like Brees, Brady and Manning can. That really limits his potential. You only outrun and outmuscle so much. You end up fading towards the end of the season and at the end of games.

-i really wasn't impressed, couldn't read a defense, or deal with pressure, when the refs get off his leg, i don't think we have much to worry about, nothing close to brees, an interception waiting to happen

U can tell how jealous some of these folks are at Cam...Claim someone name AJ Dalton is number one but spent an time writing up a dishonest post on Cam. Yeah, only the refs and Smith is bailing him out...

I thought it was great. Our rookie QB according the the article is very good. Our rookie QB is as good as someone who has rings. All this argument forgets to mention this is a rookie with half an off season. The argument fails to recognize Cam's biggest attribute: his future. What he saw was a rookie, a raw rookie at that. Cam just got us within 3 points of beating Brees and around just as less against Rodgers. I've noticed no one talks about Cam as if he is a rookie, as if his style and what he is doing is set in stone.

No poo Cam isn't reading defenses. No rookie QBs really do this right away, right not he is scanning through his options. Reading the defense will come in time along with those measly 3-7 points to beat the best teams in football.

Yes. All the haters want to hold Cam to a standard equal to a qb who has played in the nfl for several years and judge him based upon those expectations, instead of looking at him as a guy who is a rookie and on a team that was 1-15 and getting blown out of the water last year, completely non-competitive to the point that a first down was an amazing play. Yet he is playing at a level better than most of the experienced qbs in the league and on a team with the toughest schedule in the NFL this year. Yeah, their not biased at all ;)

    • I was more inclined to say fire rod last year than this year. I still think we are lacking significant talent on this team. Without chatty, our defense has old man burns who is washed, ghostbear who is a one-way player, orlov who makes numerous awful turnovers each game, a solid walker, and slavin. I think we are all definitely mad that nikishin didn't play, but we weren't winning this game with them anyway. The entire team came out flat, which is inexcusable at home down a game. If rod couldn't fire them up, I don't think any coach in the NHL does.  Florida is the worst possible matchup for us because they play very similar to us but are better at doing it. It sucks we're going to get swept, but I honestly thought this team was a fringe at best playoff team once we traded away mikko
