didn't we use to have a bounty as well 2 years ago? although, not to a targeted player. the biggest hit on D got the black glove in the locker room until the NFL made the panthers front office stop it as i recall.

That was not a bounty. It was the best clean hit of the day. We never advocated hurting people but we did advocate playing psychical.

I still cant believe that the NFL has not suspended Roman Harper. I remember back when Dante Westley was suspended for hitting a PR cause he didn't see the guy call fair catch. Just shows the NFL dose not give a crap if your one of there darlings.

The next time these two teams play the Saints will be resting their starters while the Panthers are still looking for a moral victory or "something to build on" for next year...

Someone show this troll how to setup is avatar, it's obviously too complicated for him.

black glove >> bounty.

gregg williams has them targeting players for late hits and such. the black glove was just an award to give to the guy that had the biggest monster hit.

imo, the defense has never been the same since they took that away. it hasn't been nearly as tough as it was then. the guys were a lot tougher and more fierce in the way they played. they didn't do anything douchey like the saints have been encouraged to do by coaches. they just inflicted pain within the rules.

I like bounties, I think we should put one on Brees and see how the Saints do without him.
seriously, that's what their defenses has done to keep them in games.

there is no way they would have gone to the superbowl without the late hits on favre.

Hah, Wesley left his feet and drilled the guy about two seconds before the ball even arrived, he deserved that suspension.

Wesley's play was dangerous but only b/c he didn't pay attention that it was a fair catch. Intent was not there for a cheap shot.

Harper just flat out intended to cheap shot him.

b/c if flaw with the NFL is they let the RESULT impact what they do. Result of hits shouldn't be the factor. Intent should be more heavily focused on.
