The Superdome

I have been there a couple of times. Once back in the 80's and again couple of years ago. Its ok. People rave about the food, and it is good in spots. But I am not a huge fan of Cajun food. I prefer more of a variety. I have been to several places that have superior choices in food such as New York, Chicago, and even Norfolk.

As far as the atmosphere in the dome, it certainly wasn't that way back when they were the Ain'ts. This atmosphere has largely come about since Drew Brees got there.

I've been to New Orleans. Stayed in the Embassy Suites. Town's a dump. I'll never go back if I don't have to.

Different strokes for different folks, but just saying that "if you don't like it you've never been" certainly doesn't apply to New Orleans. You liked it. I hated it.

It's a poo hole that was under water for half a year.. thankfully it killed off some of the stupider ones down there, but the smell is probably sticking around.

Never been to a Saints game, but I went to NO for a long weekend with some friends once (we were stationed in middle Texas) and we had a blast. Of course, we were in our low 20s and stayed pretty plastered the whole time but it was a lot of fun even though we ignorantly chose Memorial Day weekend to go (not the best weekend to go to NO unless you're of certain tastes...). Food was great, atmosphere was great, people were cool. I can see how someone might have a bad experience there, but it's also easy to have a good time even if you aren't there just for whoring and drinking.

Yep, went to the Dome back in 08-09 to watch us beat the 8-8 basement dwelling Aints and prevent Brees from breaking Marinos record and watch John Kasay kick another game winner, and watch Steve Smith make a huge catch against that Aints defense. Good times were had by all...er.. me and my buddy anyway! Saints fans Suck!!!!

How are you treated by the other fans? Do you go with other Panther fans?

everyone has always been nice. I even made friends with someone post-game once. People in the city thank you for being there.

and I go the places the locals go. It is a cool city. If all you do is Bourbon St, then you haven't seen New Orleans.

I have been with other Panthers fans before, or solo, or with Saints fans. Depends on the year and what's going on in my life.

    • Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.
    • This post was an error. Oops and sorry for the errors in the previous one. Too slow to edit.   We’ll see what they do.
    • I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
