my general opinion is if it's about a former player or coach and it's directly related to the team they are on now, it's better to put it in NFL central.

If it's a major former player/coach and is about something that is either something they did while with the Panthers, loosely related to the Panthers, or not related directly to football, the Panthers forum is fine.

This article is more about the Broncos coaching staff being frustrated than it is anything with Fox and his time with the Panthers.

He must hate The Golden Calf of Bristol about right now. I don't get it dude, I mean obviously Kyle Orton isn't a pro bowl QB or anything, but there is no way that he's not better than The Golden Calf of Bristol at this point. A bad situation indeed for Foxy.

Down deep Fox is thinking I won with Delhomme, I can win with Orton.

Probably. But Delhomme had a very good team around him. Great set of receivers in Proehl, Smith and Moose, Solid running backs (at least in 03 and 08), and a top5/10 defense. If Fox is going to win with Orton, he is going to have to surround him with more talent and that could take a couple of years. The defense won't be a problem, but I certainly don't believe that Fox can put together a good group of receivers by himself. He got lucky with Moose and Smith in that they were already here.

      Last night was the classic example of a visiting team just holding on through the wave of emotion a home team has at the start of a big time game. Bama’s first two kickoff returns really set them back as far as playcalling and allowed OU to dictate field position. The emotion of the home crowd fed into what OU was doing at that point, and it felt like Bama would not be able to overcome that.     Once the kickoff returner was told to fair catch every kick, the game shifted, as Bama wasn’t starting each drive inside their own 15. It was then that Bama was able to make some plays, outscoring OU 34-7 the rest of the way.  I think the last 3/4 of the game proves Bama was the better team. OU was just able to ride the initial wave of emotion to a big lead, but Bama held on just enough.  However, had OU blocked the punt on Bama’s second drive and scored a TD (vice a FG on the ensuing drive), things likely would have been different.  Anyway, Roll Tide!

      Icky has had a great year. He only struggled last game because he got hurt before halftime.
