And the annual "Dirtiest Player" award goes to...

Mr. Scot

I'll give you three guesses, and your first two don't count (link)

Suh got four times as many votes as second place finisher - and previous winner - James Harrison, who got only nine votes. The poll consisted of a hundred and twelve players.

Other vote getters...

Cortland Finnegan - 8 votes

Tyson Clabo - 7 votes (division rival)

Hines Ward - 6 votes (another previous winner)

Richie Incognito - 4 votes

Brandon Meriweather - 3 votes (was called out previously by former bear Tom Waddle)

Four other guys got two votes, and twenty players got one.

I'm sure this must come as a shock :sosp:

Have to admit I think Suh probably deserves it, and it is a vote of his peers, not media.

I don't think it's any accident that two of the prior winners of recent years are Steelers

Funny to hear Rodney Harrison defend him. Harrison owned this title more than once.

(and deservedly so)

How much you wanna bet Roman Harper was one of the single vote getters?

If they had a "dirtiest coach" award I know the first name that'd come to my mind.

If he had a job, I'd say Fisher, but because of "guilt by association" on both Fisher and Suh fronts, Schwartz comes next in my head.

    • It's crazy with how much winning was going on when we had a little cool off period that we're still just a couple games out of 6th. Moussa is getting better every week and Coby is getting comfortable. Would be nice to get to 6 but I think this team is a lot more stacked than the last couple play ins. I can't remember the exact rules but if you're 7th seed and win the first game I think you automatically move on and don't have to play the second game?
    • I think it was a thing for sure. Panthers weren’t too many people’s first choice. Or 5th choice.  2022 and 2023… coaches fired mid season. Consecutive years. You want any of that?  He has definitely overseen a rehab of how the Panthers are perceived. Because we are a place that is seen as up and coming. And just the little thing of he accommodated Theilen so graciously, that gets noticed. It all adds up. Dan is doing a lot of things right, probably most things.  Needs a good draft.
    • K, I think that is dumb, but you do you. I didn't find anything online that made him out to be a dislikable person. I am certain the Panthers would have cared so much if they lost your fandom if they hired Sean Payton. But bet you would have come crawling back if Sean lead us to a Super Bowl victory or Golden leads UNC to a champion ship. It is easy to say you are gonna leave a team if the hire someone you dislike when the chips are down. But people like you tend to come crawling back once the team finds success.
