A little perspective

- Carolina was the worst team in the NFL last year

- New staff already has as many wins as last season with 7 to go

- Offense went from THE worst in the NFL to one of the top offenses.

- We have a rookie QB and are still working on our new scheme

- In franchise history I don't recall ever losing our top 2 defensive players early in the same season.

Carolina was NOT in win now mode this season. It is year one of rebuilding. They have done a great job with Cam and are ahead of pace with him.....that doesn't mean winning was realistic once our defensive players went down.

The fire Rivera talk is retarded. Simple and plain. he doesn't have the bodies to run his defense....most simply shouldn't be seeing the reps he is forced to give them. he got dealt a bad hand this year......give him a healthy D and some roster moves they couldn't make this past off season and he will prove why he was hired.

The Titans beat the Ravens early in the season and have been playing well, I don't know why everyone thought this'd be an easy win.

But then again theRavens lost to the seahawks today so...

didn't expect an easy win

expected a competitive showing at home after a bye.

The bye isn't what it used to be, these guys have a mandated 4 days off under the new CBA. Several teams have come off the bye looking like crap, so we're not alone.

Problem is, we looked like we took way more than 4 days off.

The Eagles are pretty bad this year and Andy Reid still won coming off their bye week (again). Today was inexcusable. We should've at least been competitive.

    • The same folks crying about the OL right now were crying about it in 2023 too. We have tied up over 100 million dollars in two interior olinemen alone and we have Taylor Moton inked to a recent extension. We've invested multiple first and second round picks in the offense. We hired an offensive minded head coach. This is an offensive team. The offense needs to produce or people need to be replaced.
    • This is the same place that has ridiculed and blasted Caleb Williams at every opportunity he has his team sitting at 10-4 in the same NFC that the Panthers are competing in. And their division in the NFC North is as or more competitive as our division. Yet from the same people who have very high standards for Williams we get every excuse imaginable for the smallest starting QB in the league even when he and his team continue to disappoint when the pressure is on. You lot aren't any less inconsistent than anyone else.
    • The Panthers are 9th in cap spent on offense this year.  However next season is already a different story  The Panthers as it stands right now will be 18th in cap spent on offense and 8th in cap spent on defense  The Panthers are currently set to spend more on defense next year than they are on offense this season Guys like Jaycee and Moehrig cap numbers take a big jump. Wharton has a massive cap hit   Jaycee Moehrig and Wharton in 2025 The same 3 in 2026 So this same defense as it stands right now will cost more in 2026 than this offense does right now… Got anything else you want to try?
