I think

Did you watch Denver's defense last night? Did you see the veteran depth in the secondary? The strong line play. The athletic linebackers?

Lets look at the defense against the last 4 opponents scores

Miami 15 points... win

Detroit 45....loss

Oakland 24 ...win (3 pics and a punt return in that game also)

KC 10 win

Jets 13 win.

I think having a good defense is the key to be a good team. Having a good defense and a great offense is the key to being a great team. Cam has sped up everyone hopes and people want to win now. However before the season everyone knew it was both a project and a process(well most of us did).

our problem is coaching. Denver is winning games while we focus on developing Cam. They are actually going with a game plan thats working for them while ours is falling short week after week. Enough of pointing at players, I'm pointing at RR. Maybe the reason it took him so long to be a Head Coach is that he can't coach. If Fox can win in Denver with The Golden Calf of Bristol, we should be able to win with Cam. Granted I also think that Denver's defense is better than ours right now. Which still forces me to point at RR, a defensive coach from the Chargers and Dermontt, a defensive coach from the Eagles. And if I spelled his name wrong, o well, you get my point. This is fustrating as hell. We're good, actually good. We've probably got the best offense that I ever remember us having and we can't win.

our problem is no defensive or ST talent.

Simple and plain. Fox's gameplan in Denver wouldn't work without decent ST and D. No gameplan Fox has would work without it.

That's 100! We have a much better QB with a weaker game plan. I they can design a gameplan in Denver for The Golden Calf of Bristol to win, what does it say about our coaching staff that can't design a game plan to win here with Cam?

again, you simply selective choose to ignore that the D and ST are what matters.

Denver's entire offensive gameplan relies soley on the fact they have a D and ST. Our gameplan relies on the fact we have no D or ST.

It says we don't have the defense/ST that they have right now. I think that's pretty obvious

Coaches are not responsible for penalties. Poor execution by the constant stream of young and inexperienced players and even some veterans are responsible for the penalties. Coaches are responsible to see that the players understand how costly penalties are and there will be consequences if you keep causing them. On the other hand how do you threaten to take a starter out for causing penalties when you have so many guys on IR already and the backup who would replace them won't be better and may get penalized as well.

Before drafting Cam & hiring Rivera there was one guy that was the Panthers. His teammates rallied around him and he is still simply the man...the beast: Beason

Without him this season we've not only lost our best overall player, but a teammate who goes beyond the mold of an NFL gamer.

I've been highly critical of Rivera for a few weeks without calling for his head. Its a team sport (obviously) and our team lost its main guy. The glue for not just the defense but for everyone and it was a major major blow. Smitty is the loose cannon type, Gross is the stabilizer, CJ is the rising stud, but Beason is the true foundation. Losing him made us a completely different football team and that's why regardless of who it is (Rivera, Newton, Shockey, DeAngelo, Stew, etc.) someone needs to become that rallier. We need a Beason backup in the idea of a true player's player. I just don't think we have it atm and that absence is driving the coaching & output frustration. We do have a stellar QB though.

I'm tired of seeing everyone scattered around and sulking on our sidelines in the first freakin quarter of games. Smitty & Newton have towels over their heads at different ends of the bench. Gross, DeAngelo, & Stew need to rally these guys as much as Rivera.

 at all the threads and geniuses who are trying to find where to point their little finger to lay blame for us being 2 and whatever this year.

i don't care where you point that finger, you're going to be wrong because there is no "one place" to point your finger.

it's pathetic and incredibly simple minded.

it's just a clusterf*ck of a situation....but you know that happens in a rebuild. things get ugly and messy and the law of unintended consequences is fully in play. you don't just look at the mess in the middle of the rebuild and say "well, f*ck. it's a mess and we made a mistake." you wait until it gets done. you expect every situation to be unique and with that the progress won't look the same from one place to another. some situations are more clear cut and have less work involved. some situations have unexpected incidents/accidents that take place that cause things to look messier and take longer to get the results you want. rebuilding a house? maybe you wind up in a blizzard or the area gets hit by a tornado. you rebuilding a team? maybe you have several key leaders on one side of the ball go on IR early in the year.

sh*t happens. no one is to blame. it just happens.

if it makes it easier for you to deal with to start laying blame at the feet of one person, have at it. just know that you'll be wrong.
