And I will just not accet taking a CB in the first. Claiborne is nothing special in terms of talent, and this class has too much depth there.

I think the OLB is very deep also and we could get a really good player in the 2nd round. I would rather get a top CB and a good LB in the 2nd. Just my opinion.

But, if you don't want a CB in the first, I think we have to go OL or OLB. Lots of good OT and OG in this draft, especially if we end up around 10. I don't want another yound DT.

IMO we have to get 2 out of 3 with these top 2 picks: OL, OLB, CB

Beating the Bucs really hurt our chances of drafting Claiborne... can't let the Bucs draft before us this year. We are going after the same player.

If we draft at #10 or lower then I agree with Kdawg.. Zach brown and Still become considerations. Then CB in the 2nd.

Getting Still/Thompson/Brown/Jake Matthews in the first pending if we end up somewhere 9 or later; then going with a Minnifield/Jenkins/Hayward/Hosley in the 2nd would be a smart strategy imo.

Grab additional OLs & LBs for depth when you think its the right drafting time, hold off on late round receivers, and scoop up maybe another CB along the way and that would be my preferred draft without getting too specific on one guy.

Other than that, I consider this to be a nice draft to trade down in if we're stuck around 4-8.

I just don't see us taking a DT with our first pick. I mean, if it is BPA maybe, but we are really young at that position already. Fua and McClain aren't going anywhere, and Neblett has played just as well or better (only in his second year). Plus we have Edwards coming back. I think we would be better suited targeting a FA if you don't feel comfortable going into next year with what we have.

If we beat the Bucs again, that will drop us all the way to #10. Which is a very high possiblity. I really hate losing, but this season is already lost. A part of me does not want to beat the Bucs again, and another part does. It's a strange feeling. Anyone else feel this way, considering the season is already lost?

I feel that losing out will help our team win more games in the long run because we will get a real difference maker with a higher pick. However, I am very confident in Hurney's drafting abilities. He has never busted on a 1st round pick.. how many GM's can say that?

This is exactly how I feel as well. Seems like we have the same understanding of how this draft should go. I'd give you rep, but your rep is disabled. I don't think you can give rep either.

The Rams and Jags have so many needs, I wonder if Kalil slips to us. Yet with that said, we have a chance at playoff ball as long as we don't lose one more game. If we lose, I'm all for getting a better draft spot. Yet as long as we are in the hunt, we need to win.
